Authentic Low-N-Slow BBQ
Smokin Bones started from a stall at Herbert Park Barbecue festival in 2014. We now serve you the very same authentic ribs, pulled pork and brisket as you had at The Big Grill.
At Smokin Bones we source the best possible local ingredients and don’t fuss with them too much.
Simply cooking with wood and time, “Low n’ Slow“.

The best meat I’ve ever had — starting from beef, through chicken and ribs.
The order was taken on time and prepared on time. The staff were very friendly — everyone was smiling, wished us well, helped us choose the dishes, and we didn’t lack anything.
I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to you !

Here’s a punchy ~300-character (approx.) review of Smokin Bones in Dublin:
—
“Smokin Bones delivers generous, smoky BBQ that hits the spot—towering ribs, melt-in-your-mouth brisket, and zingy wings. The vibe is lively, the staff friendly, and portions hearty—though consistency on busy nights can vary. Still, a fun, flavour-packed BBQ gem in Temple Bar. I’ve drawn on recent reviews praising the generous portions and smoky flavors—like standout ribs and brisket.

Was definitely apprehensive about going after seeing the mixed reviews but honestly it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had.
Food came very fast, portion sizes excellent. Came to £66 for two of us, absolute bargain.

I had the best chicken tenders in my entire life!
That sweet honey glaze was just amazing
I wished I had two stomachs to eat more, because I’ll have to leave Dublin already, but I’ll be back and I’ll be hungry!
Thank you ❤️

Amazing food and even better service. Everything was brought very fast. I left belongings behind and after phone call, they kept for me few days and safely returned to me in few days.

We waited no time to be seated and service was fast! We ordered the mozzarella sticks and pork belly as starters and a burger and the pulled pork for mains. Everything was delicious (especially the pork belly – wow!).
The sides you choose from were fantastic – I had the beans and the coleslaw.
Would definitely come back on future trips to Dublin.

My wife and I have eaten here a number of times now. Its quite hit and miss. Last night we were seated at a table which had been squeezed in between 2 other tables. Basically on each other’s lips. In fairness, we hadn’t a booking but at the same time it wasn’t busy. The staff we dealt with were nice and let us move to a new table when the guests had finished their meal. The food was warm and everything was brought out together. Starters and mains. The chicken wings had this gelatinous texture. Not good. I had ordered the smoked chicken thigh burger. On ordering the waitress asked did I want thighs or fillet. I asked her recommendation and she said fillet, so without really thinking I said ok. What arrived was a classic breaded deep fried fillet on a bun with very cold salad. It was not the smoked burger that had tickled my fancy when reading the menu. I really wish she just fulfilled my order as I initially asked. The menu said nothing about a fried fillet so why ask. My wife’s beef ribs seemed like they had been sitting around a while and were not cooked enough so they weren’t soft enough. They were quite chewy and and unpleasant to eat. Reasonably priced food with overpriced beer. Also one thing I noticed and I could be wrong but im fairly sure all of the mayo they use is vegan mayo. It has that horrible sweetness to it. Nasty. Either that or the mayo they use is just cheap crap.
I would give 2.5 stars but since I can only choose whole stars, this experience leans closer to 2.

Went there yesterday and we ware seated at a window table ,very nice view. Harry and Diana attended to our table and the service was great , food was great even gave the chef some compliments about the food. I had baby back ribs and the portion was huge, meat was tender and the whiskey sauce complimented the meat perfectly just like the waiters said, Mac and cheese was brilliant and it had cheese all through it not like in other places , the fries had some great seasoning on them that tasted so good. Overall very pleasantly surprised with the service and the experience, I recommend it 100% and for this area the prices are great , they even have some weekly offers that can fit any pocket. Very happy

Dropped in for dinner whilst on a business trip to Dublin. Visited early evening and greeted and seated fast. Nice choices on menu but annoyingly no mix and match on the smoked meats other than a large platter. Order taken quickly and drink and food arrived pretty fast. Food was very good and service excellent, great staff. Would visit again

Nice location, however we waited quite a while for our food and the service was a bit on and off. The food tasted alright, but overall wasn’t significantly better than any other BBQ offering, maybe just better branding. If you are looking for a true barbecue, meat heavy experience I would look somewhere else..
