Easily one of the best bar experiences I’ve had in the Pittsburgh area. My friend brought me here after a concert because he liked it for its small dive bar feel with a jukebox, and I immediately liked it the moment I walked in the door. After ordering a few very reasonably priced drinks, sitting at a table, and a bit of conversation with my friend, the owner if the bar walked by to see how we were doing and asked if we needed anything. It was like being served at a restaurant, but the owner was simply doing it out of the kindness of his heart. Fast forward 2 hours and there I am sitting at the table with my friend and the owner of the bar with all of us sharing stories like we’ve all known each other for a long time. Heck, even some of the other folks in the bar joined in on the conversation.
I will absolutely be returning to this bar. I will never forget my time here from just one evening.

Watch your money in this dive if you’re of a mind to enter it. Don’t leave your change on the bar. One afternoon I paid with a twenty dollar bill for one drink. Some creep came up beside me and picked up the ten plus the five and retreats to his table. I asked the lady beside me just what did she make of that. The barmaid came up in front of me and said that he made a mistake thinking that was his change because she had laid his down at the same place. We’ll come on now, that man knew he had already picked up his change if indeed she had laid it right there. If he thought that was his why did he not pick it all up? I think the two of them were in cahoots. He gave me back the ten and I had to ask for the five. I will never go into there again.

Local Millvale dive bar. They have DJ cranking out oldies but I can’t remember what nights. I am not really a drinker, nor one for hanging in bars. I stop in here sometimes because it is close to my apartment and I need a rest on my way back home from wherever in the daytime. The place reminds me of the TV show CHEERS.

Pretty laid back during the week and the regulars are respectful. Weekends seem to be a different scene. Younger, lively bunch, louder music. Draft prices are awesome!
