You’d better hurry up and get here now! You don’t want to miss out. Luckily I showed up just as the ribs were made, so I was able enjoy the literal best ribs I’ve ever had. On top of that, the brisket and cornbread knocked me to my knees! This place is the real deal, and the staff is just as amazing!

This place is named Smokey’s for one very good reason, it’s because they have real smoked meat. So yeah I couldn’t wait to get some of that smoke flavor down my gullet. The food was good, prices are reasonable they did run out of cornbread, and the iced tea came in a bottle. That would be one major thing I would change is that I would have homemade iced tea it would taste better and be more profitable. Seating area is small so it’s probably a good option for takeout and parking was a little limited but other than that I will go back for that smoke meat flavor.

By far the BEST BBQ joint here!
The meats are stupid tender and tasty!
Be advised that their brisket, while delicious, is extremely fatty. We could not finish even one portion because of the amount of fat. The brisket made a hell of a breakfast the next day though!
I loved that they give you different sauces to try with the meats.
Quality vs quantity vs price is just spot on
Big portions, great price (30$ for 2 meats + 2 sides), amazing taste.
And their cornbread (sweet baby Jesus) is the best cornbread I’ve had. A super generously warm, moist and fluffy piece for 5$! They have rotating flavours like cinnamon, jalapeños cheddar as well as their regular cornbread.
The only big downside is that there is no AC! We were drenched with sweat after our meal due to the extreme heat inside.

Sausage, Pulled pork, beans and corn were all excellent. The brisket was good, our pieces were not cut across the grain, maybe it’s a Maine thing, but it was still good just not as tender as it could have been. We asked for recommendations from some locals and they claimed this place was priced a little high, well maybe it is for the area, but we would have spent a lot more in Texas for the same amount of food, it was actually less than I expected.

I can honestly say I’ve never had bbq this good before. You’d never expect to find it in Downeast Maine either. What an amazing surprise! It’s a tiny place on the side of the road with a few tables, friendly staff, and an amazing menu. They smoke their meats for a minimum of 14 hours every day. You can’t go wrong ordering anything they offer, but their “unhealthy marriage” gourmet sandwich with thick layers of brisket and smoked sausage is unforgettable. And don’t pass up a side of cornbread – the best I’ve eaten anywhere, including homemade. We tried their banana cheesecake, too – delicious!

Small but comfy dining room, very attentive wait staff as well! Had a Father’s Day special of both ribs and burnt ends, both were absolutely excellent. Beans, cornbread and Mac and cheese were also outstanding. Absolutely will be going back!

This is Smokey’s BBQ second day open in brewer and there was a line to the door when I got there at open. We ordered the unhealthy marriage and the angry bird with a side of Mac and cheese. I am very excited to have local access to authentic bbq. It was so delicious. Smoked juicy meats and very flavorful. Absolutely loved the coleslaw and Mac and cheese and I am picky about those two things. They got their flavors down 100%. I have no doubts they will grow an amazing business here. It is a small and cozy place. They do have some tables and barstools with counter options if u would like to dine in as well. I look forward to going back many times to try all the delicious options. I just want to update to say i pre ordered a smoked turkey this thanksgiving with their homeade gravy and it was the best turkey and gravy I have had in my entire life. Definitely don’t miss out when they offer this option. You won’t be disappointed.

Me and my partner were going through Maine for a day trip, decided to stop here on a whim just wanting some barbecue. Smokey’s did not disappoint, seeing the smokers outside and smelling the food as soon as we got out the car. Staff was super nice a courteous, Food was 10/10, I had the messy pig sandwhich and she got 2 1/2lbs of meat. The brisket and chicken were tender and juicy, the pork sandwhich was cooked and made perfectly, and Their sauces are all worth trying. Whenever we decided to come back up here again this place is 100% gonna be on our list of food spots that we have to go back to. GO TRY THEIR FOOD!

Looked for a place for lunch, thought about how bbq sounded good… Man this was the best random decision I’ve ever made. Everything was DELICIOUS! We got 1/2 lb each of brisket and chicken, a few smoked wings, and the messy pig sandwich, tried all the sauces.. It all tasted incredible. I will be coming back here every time Im near Bangor.
