This is an old-fashioned barbecue spot with a very simple setup. Overall, the food was okay, but nothing particularly memorable. When I asked about a brisket sandwich, I was met with a bit of attitude and was told they don’t serve brisket or mac & cheese—two items I typically expect at most barbecue places. The menu is quite limited compared to other spots I’ve visited.
The food was passable, but it wouldn’t be my go-to choice. One thing that stood out, and not in a good way, was seeing employees smoking in front of the establishment and then handling food, which made me a bit uncomfortable. While I appreciate the no-frills vibe, a few small improvements could really change the overall experience.

Some of the best BBQ around. It’s definitely a hole in the wall, but that’s what adds to its charm and authenticity. This place has been around since my dad was in college, so you know it’s good. Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed.

The staff was friendly but the food sucked! The bbq meat was bland with not one lick of seasoning. The ribs had more bone than meat and the coleslaw tasted like mustard and vinegar. Definitely not worth the money spent.

Damn!!! This place is it! Absolutely not one thing to complain about. I haven’t had ribs in years by choice, this place changed my mind. Only thing to fix, please consider 24 hour operations.

Food is great but you’ll spend $20 a head so loses points for general affordability.

The best bbq sandwich I have ever had. It was delicious.

Food was over priced for the amount and quality. Staff was very friendly and the atmosphere has that down home nostalgia that feels welcoming. 13th Street has them beat as far as the BBQ nachos and the Q-taters go.

Great food but insanely expensive. Was charging 10 dollars for one sandwich, chips and drink. We left and went to Hog rock and got 10 sandwiches, a large stew and it was under 20 dollars. Again, the food here is FANTASTIC but you all have to do something about these exorbitant prices

I honestly wouldn’t give it a complete star if I could. The meat has no smoke flavor at all. The fine chopped is dry and chewy and very salty. The cole slaw taste like chopped cabbage with a knock off country’s bbq sauce. The pickles don’t even taste good. The baked beans taste like Walmart beans. If anyone thinks this is good bbq, then you don’t know what good bbq is. The sauce has no flavor other than a lot of vinegar. The Brunswick stew taste like canned stew with little to no meat.
