Have wanted to try this place for years but never had the chance until they opened a location just a few miles away from me. We got the Burnt Ends meal and some of the ends were tough to chew but the majority were perfect. The fries are my new favorite kind of fries. The best however, was the dessert – we each had a medium jar of cheesecake, and it was probably the best cheesecake I’ve ever had! Service was great. I didn’t expect to spend as much as I did, but it was with it. I’ll definitely be visiting again.

This is what real BBQ should taste like! I got the burnt ends with fried pickles and collard greens. Everything was cooked to perfection and tastes phenomenal. Miles above the Big chains like Dickeys with that homemade taste of love. My new favorite restaurant in Topeka!

I have been getting smoked meat burnt ends, ribs and pulled pork . Him and his crew came out and catered my daughter’s wedding. Meat so tender and and juicy it just fall right off the bone . Lately I go in to watch some football and basketball game while having pulled pork sandwiches and the hottest damn wings I ever tasted . ️

We got some food from Smokey Dunks today. We got some ribs and jerk chicken on rice plus some sides. Overall we were very pleased with the ribs and chicken. The jerk sauce was nice and spicy with a touch of sweetness and smokey Ness. The ribs were nice and tender and went great with the BBQ sauce. We also got cheesy taters and the Mac. The Mac was nice and creamy and went well with the ribs. Again we were very pleased with what we got especially for the price we paid. We plan on coming for more again!

As a truck driver stuck in a parking lot for a night, this was a welcome sight and smell. I got the brisket with two sides. Great portion of brisket served open on a bun in case you want a brisket sandwich. And the sides were great! I’m not from the south but I choose the greens which were amazing and had a kick of heat to them which made it even better.

Atmosphere/Service: When we first arrived, there were to younger men working the trailer, and an older gentleman off to the side, talking to what i assume was his friend, beside the only other vehicle there. I was excited to try the place after reading so many good reviews. I walked up and said, “I hear you got the best BBQ in Topeka!” One of the young men just muttered something I couldn’t understand, and the other didn’t look up from his phone. I then asked if there was a meal with 1 lb rib tips similar to the 1 lb of burnt ends. He said “No, but you can just order the sides on the side.” I placed my order, asked how long they had been there, and he told me 4 years. This was the extent of the conversation. Not the most welcoming place I’ve been to, for sure
Food: We ordered one pound of rib tips and one pound of burnt ends. We ordered mac&cheese, baked beans, cheesy corn, and cheesy potatoes for sides. The burnt ends were kinda hit and miss. Some were good, but some were very tough hard to even chew. Overall, they were smoked nicely with good flavor. The rib tips were wonderful. (My personal favorite) The sides were not what I expected and were quite unique. The flavor was great, but you would think they would be larger when ordering them with a pound of meat. (Not nearly enough for the 4 people I was feeding.) (I would recommend doubling up on the sides if you’re in a similar situation.)
Bottom line: Not the best experience, (they even forgot to include the baked beans!) however the food was of good quality. I don’t like to give up on a place after one visit, and I’m willing to go back the next time I’m craving some rib tips. Maybe it was an off night, we were early in the dinner window, so maybe they weren’t quite in rhythm yet. I will update when/if I return.
