Best brisket around! The brisket sandwich is mouthwatering on buttered Texas toast!! Hotdogs, chili and slaw are amazing and the Carolina burger always hits the spot!! The staff is friendly and treat you like family around the kitchen table. I find the prices reasonable. Awesome job guys, keep it up.

Let me start by saying, I really want to accurately portray this local establishment. Ordered their Fri special (brisket) and felt that the meat was seasoned and smoked great. The pulled pork was seasoned nicely as well. I personally was not a fan of the pork, but loved the brisket, however my daughter was just the opposite.
The house made chips were fine, but not spectacular. The boiled potatoes were the same. My summary for this visit is 3 stars based on the price point for the portion size and the sides. Simply put, expect to walk away hungry if you order a simple dinner plate. Also plan on spending well over $25 for 2 people. My last critique is based more on my being a transplant to the area, but the BBQ sauce is vinegar based, and VERY vinegary from the first taste all the way down. If I may offer a suggestion to the establishment… Please offer other taste profile for sauce. You can easily make an original sauce easily, that ISN’T vinegar based. I understand we’re in the Carolinas, but not everyone likes vinegar. Another sweet and smokey option would be welcomed.

Beans were Great, staff is very nice and helpful, pork was great texture, but was lacking flavor. The plates are a decent size for a cheap price. Next time I’ll try the brisket or ribs, I wished they had mashed potatoes though 🙁

Excellent brisket, very good service boiled potatoes very very good. I didn’t care for the baked beans, too spicy for my taste. This was my first visit and I will return. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is value. I felt it was expensive for the quantity of brisket.

We stopped by while on a road trip. Planned on going somewhere that was closed and ended up here. Best mistake ever. Clearly a local favorite (we saw half the town during lunch rush). The ribs and chopped pork were both outstanding. Potato salad was on point. Vinegar sauce was punchy and a great compliment to the smoke. 100% will go back if we are ever in the area again. PS- our dog says thanks for the bone. He doesn’t want his boring dog food anymore!

This place is our favorite place to eat. Their food is delicious and the service is fantastic. Yes 5 star rating! The best BBQ we have ever eaten along with great smoked ribs, wings and leg quarters. They have their own BBQ sauce and it is perfect!! We love the French fries and my husband will tell you, I usually never like anyone’s fries! Onion rings are very good also. Smokey Dave’s you are doing it up right in Roxboro, NC!!!

I didn’t like it. No combos for chicken tenders. Tried the stew one time was dissapointed. We came in one night about 30 mins before they closed. We ordered the barbecue. You could tell and taste that they reheated plus also that it was already put up in fridge. I’ve worked in fast food my whole life and I know the tricks. Haven’t ate there n over a year. Only reason I gave one star is lemonade

Great food, very helpful, customer oriented staff who will go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied and taken care of. Greet you with smiles and say thank you for coming. They stay busy and really need a bigger location as good as they are…..loveeeee their ribs!
