Stopped December 30 around 6pm and the place was almost empty when we got there. Our waitress was very very nice and pleasantly efficient. We ordered a dozen smoked wings and a half rack of the premium style ribs. Ribs to go. Our wings were very dry. Not a big deal because smoking does tend to dry things out a bit. We ate some of them and decided to take the rest home. When we looked at the ribs later that night they looked pitiful. A half a rack I guess from a tiny tiny pig. Granted there were 6 rib bones but two of them were just, well, bones. We paid the premium price for those ribs too. I would hate to see the regular ribs. Maybe something on a par with chicken ribs. Food is way overpriced for what you get.

This was an all time awful experience. Went here for my niece’s birthday, service was the absolute worst. Food came out at snail pace, 45 minutes for a side salad. When the meals came out, they were lukewarm at best and the icing on the cake was being served two pieces of meat that could’ve been cube steak and was told these were filet medallions. When I questioned it, they insisted it was filet, but then came back and said, no you are right it doesn’t look like filet. Not to mention that I ordered it with mushrooms and onions and they weren’t even on the steak, when I questioned that the entire plate was wrong, they brought me out two little cups of mushrooms and onions. At that point, I had enough of this lackluster experience and told them to just take it off the bill. It appeared there was only one waitress for all the tables yet there were other staff milling around, joking with each other. We weren’t even offered an apology for the absolute garbage experience. It was rumored this location was closing, honestly this one was a bit better than Robinson, but they all need to just throw in the towel. We won’t be back again, ever.

If you have not had the chance to experience this place , let me tell you, Smokey Bones is that classic reminder of your childhood in the summer time. The smell of the restaurant and the taste of their food brings such a nostalgic feeling that warms the heart. Ribs , Wings , and a wood fired smoker?! You can’t get any more American than that!
My server, Heather, was wonderfulll ! Her attitude and swift service really tied the whole meal together. I got the smoked wings and a side of potato wedges and they went amazing with the Carolina gold bbq sauce. Eating here feels like comfort ❤️ Thank you for the experience, I will be back! 😉

We visited as a party of 10 to celebrate my mother inlaws birthday. The food was very good, but the real star of the show was our waiter Noah. He was beyond amazing. Very kind, friendly, and accommodating. He really took the time to speak with everyone, offer drink refills, and wished my mother inlaw a happy birthday several times. He made sure we had plates and forks for the cake we brought and he took group photos for us. He was by far amazing and excellent at his job. Thank you Noah!

Bartender was friendly and helpful. Wings were really good, liked the seasoning. Cookie Monster Milkshake was superb; house made whipped cream was probably some of the best ever. Burger was good. Fries were good; maybe a pinch more salt. But everything was fresh. Will go again.

Our dinner here was good but nothing great. I had the wings and they were pretty good but small. My daughter had a steak which was done perfectly but kind of fatty. Nothing was horrible about the food but nothing stood out for the price. Everything was just okay. Nothing worse and nothing better.

We enjoyed this restaurant. We went there on a weekend and it was quite empty. The place ws very clean with not-chipped dishes or scratched silverware. Our service was prompt and precise. The food was pretty good: the ribs were awesome and the burger was a bit on the dry side.

A salad we did not order with no dressing. No ranch dressing with the pickles. As a restaurant owner myself it looks like you should be in some other business. If I could rate this a minus 10 I would.

We stopped here for a late dinner after spending the day downtown Pittsburgh and our server was amazing!!! She was so friendly and fast and made our dinner experience fantastic. Our daughter spilled a drink and she was right there to help and her attitude was simply amazing. I wish I could remember her name…she deserves the credit!!!
