At approximately 11PM October 11 2025, a girl bartender denied service to me and said in exact words, “I’m not serving you if you don’t tip”. Mind you she’s probably saying that to everyone and that is how smokehouse runs their business? This is the first I’ve gone to smoke house and the first time I’ve been denied service for not tipping a bartender. If you want my recommendation, find this person and fire her. Then maybe I’ll consider changing my review to 2 stars. Unacceptable.

This establishment is definitely in the top 5 when looking for night life Lowell. The aesthetic is upscale and modern but still has a rustic and comfortable atmosphere. The food is great for a day visit on any occasion and the club is a true dance club. The DJs are always good and the crowd that this place draws are good people. I would highly recommend this place for dining or a fun night out. I found the best part to be the VIP section in the back of the restaurant. It has a very chill atmosphere and is usually never crowded. It’s a great spot to wind down from the dance floor or just relax with friends.

If you wanna see a good fight come here at closing time for a show outside. It’s fun if you’re young and just began to drink or have a fake ID. Other than that no adults should come here for a good time. It’s gutter dirty in there and make sure you are drunk before you come as well.

Music was really loud in the dance area, to the point where my ears were ringing when I stepped into the bathroom but otherwise the place was pretty nice. I felt safe there, there were a variety of seating options and the drinks were good. It was spring break when I went so it wasn’t packed enough for people to be dancing, but I bet it’s pretty awesome on a regular night.

Honestly I never even got to go into the place! I’m legally able to drink, provided my ID and they asked to provide proof of my residency (I’m not a MA state resident)… I’ve never had this happen at ANY club/bar. Honestly that’s just super shady and ruined a fun night
