Nice little restaurant in Charleston. I I had heard that this place had decent home cooked food, so I expected it to be decent at least. I got a double bacon cheese burger with fried mushrooms. The mushrooms were well cooked crunchy and not to slimmy like some other restaurants. But the burger is what blew me away. This burger was THICK and just juicy enough to keep all of the flavor, but not make a mess. It took everything I had to fit this monster burger in my mouth, but it was well worth it. It was just a great overall burger, especially for its size. Will definitely be back in the future.

Food was excellent. Service was pretty awful. Hostess was rude, did not respond to me when I asked if they had any open tables except to gesture to follow her. I then sat at the table for 22 minutes before someone came up to ask if I wanted to order a drink. He quickly walked away after I ordered a drink and I had to stop him to ask if I could give him my food order too. After that point, the food came out pretty fast. Pretty sure the server said about 3 words to me total. Said thank you to hostess on the way out, no response, did not look up at me.

Food was excellent!! Hot, Fast, but the Service not so much. We were a party of four, and sat in the front dining room (I’m short and have back issues so can’t set at the counter) it was like we were a bother for her to wait on us. I expected better for a place that has been around for so long.

My husband and I were on vacation and stopped in Charleston for the night. We googled places to eat, and want to try something different. When we arrived, walked in, and was looking to see if there was someplace to sit other then the bar. A man behind the bar pointed us to a room, while a lady behind the bar yelled “If you are wanting to eat you better hurry! The kitchen closes in 5 minutes! We were tired, hungry, and was trying to celebrate my 60th birthday. From the time we sat we were rushed, my husband was trying to order his dinner, fish, baked potato, they were out of, then steak fries, they were out of, he finally said just tell me what you have. We finally got our order in and the food came, all the time seemed like they were watching us as if we needed to hurry. The bar didn’t close for another hour.

Decent food but I cannot go anywhere else and tip without thinking of this place from years ago. I was a big tipper to help out the waitress we knew at the time, they told me they didn’t recommend doing that anymore. Also allowed someone to block me in in the back lot, I put a note on thier car and folded thier mirror in, next visit they insisted I go apologize to the person. owner and daughter I believe. Yes. This is old. But it is something that sticks with me today.
