My first time here and it won’t be the last!!! I am happy to have found a bbq joint that does NOT disappoint, even if it is almost an hour away from home!!! Jonas and Amy (the owners) are GOOD peole and were so kind and hospitable. You can’t just walk in any old joint and feel the love like you do here!!! The beef tri-tips were on point right along with the rib tips. They were both super tender. I love me some greens, and I was questioning there’s since they used turkey (I am a ham hock and greens kinda girl) and the moment I took a bite, I KNEW that their food was made with LOVE!!! I should have ordered more greens, they were flavored to perfection and sooooo freaking good!!! The mac and cheese was delicious and the baked beans made my mouth happy!!! The corn bread muffins and the banana pudding was banging!!! Everything was homemade and you can taste it!!! Thank you Jonas and Amy for such a wonderful experience!!! We will be back soon!!!

Ordering food for an employee lunch was effortless with Smoked@225. Amy and Jonas were quick to respond, easy to work with and helpful when working on the totals. The most important part – the food! The food is amazing! Quality, flavor meats, well crafted sides and dangerously delicious banana pudding! No one left hungry. Everyone raved about the quality and portions that were served. We will be ordering from Smoked@225 again and again!

I am still thinking about the food I had over the weekend! I was at a wedding that catered Smoked225 and it was AMAZING! The tri tip melted in your mouth, the mac n cheese had one of best cheese pulls around and the homemade bbq sauce was delicious! I’ve never had collard greens but I give them a 10/10 rating.

Not only was the food amazing- the customer service was top notch! The husband and wife duo are a dream team! I got to spend a few hours with them since it was a wedding and they are such great people. They have a passion for food and for their community. I don’t live in the area but I will definitely take a trip back to Menomonee falls for this food!

Stopped by because we were excited about trying a new local place and BBQ at that. Got takeout, but the space has several tables & chairs to dine in. Very tastefully decorated, the focus is on the food. Outside, there is plenty of parking, the unit is on the strip next to Culver’s on the northern end.

Walked in and chatted with the owner. Very personable. I’d already combed through the menu, trying to decide what to get. It was tempting to buy everything on the menu. There are meal options and meat by the pound options.

We’d decided on the by the pound option, hoping for leftovers. Went with: the baked beans, mac ‘n cheese, and slaw for sides. The slaw was in long shreds. Definitely would get again, as well as the beans. The baked beans had a wonderful smokiness yet weren’t overpoweringly so.

And now, the meat: I adore tri-tip. But grocery stores rarely if ever carry the cut. I drive over to Wild Fork on the other side of town and pick up a few a couple times a year. So obviously we got the smoked tri-tip. Should have ordered double the amount we got. Definitely would recommend. Gonna snarf the leftovers for dinner tonight.

Next up: the pork belly. Always wanted to try it. Was delicious, but should have ordered a smaller portion. Not sure how it will reheat, as there was ample leftover.

Last, but far from least: the pulled chicken. Scrumptious, smoky threads of juicy chicken, this will also be on the menu next time I get a hankering for BBQ.

We tried Smoked at 225 on a whim today and WOW — what a hidden gem. Every single thing we ordered was incredible. The tri-tip was perfectly juicy and packed with flavor, the pulled pork was tender and smoky, and the pulled chicken was just as delicious.

And the garlic cheese curds?! Absolutely unreal.

It’s rare to find a place where everything you try is amazing, but Smoked at 225 nailed it. We will definitely be back!

We sadly ate our food too quickly and never got a picture! We got the pulled pork basket with collard greens, garlic cheese curds and a small order of the Mac and cheese. Ordering a small Mac and cheese was a mistake, we needed more it was so good! The collard greens had a fantastic kick to it, cheese curds were well loved by my kids, and the pulled pork (with the bun) was absolutely delicious. I ordered to go and did not wait long, but even if I had to it wouldn’t have made a difference with the nice conversation I had with the gentlemen that greeted me with a smile and was very well knowledged of the menu and the type of meat they serve. First time there and will be back!

The owner was super kind and suggested the beef tips & pulled chicken. He even sent out cheese curds from the kitchen to try. We ordered beef tips with sweet potato fries, pulled chicken with mac n cheese and had banana pudding for dessert. Everything was gone in 10 min It was a drive from where we stay but so well worth it. Will definitely be back! Thank you!

Limited hours. Great food!

This isn’t typical barbecue (tri-tip, no brisket); the sides from family recipes align with smoked meat where the flavor comes from rubs and smoke not some slathered on sauce. (Barbecue sauce is available if you must.)

This is a meal you’ve been invited to enjoy at a table in an unassuming home, where the cook is well known in the community but doesn’t run a restaurant. Typically, food like this is only enjoyed by family, relatives and good friends of the cook. Fortunately, someone has taken the time and figured out a process for sharing both the food and that atmosphere with a broader community.

My recommendations: Pork belly, ribs, tri-tip, collard greens, yams, baked beans, coleslaw, chili.

Hoping to try soon: Clam chowder in a bread bowl.

The meat all had good flavors. Nicely seasoned, savory, and smokey. I liked how the BBQ sauce wasn’t too sweet. The banana pudding was okay, the wafers didn’t get soft and bananas weren’t very ripe so the dessert was on the dry side. The sides and egg rolls were good though. Will definitely visit again!
