My husband got the sausage roll, with Cole slaw as side. The pork sausage was still pink inside.
I tried the brisket chili (it was good) and decided on a brownieto eat later that night. (Bacon portions in brownie sounds amazing). I asked it not be heated up as we’d be eating it later in the evening.
I just finished the other half of the brownie and felt something too chewy. (I mean pieces of bacon can feel chewy, but what I discovered was paper and a plastic wrap.
I have emailed them twice and no response. (Email provided on website)
Shocked that an email for catering would go over a week and a half with no response, not even an auto reply.
I was most excited to try the brisket chili and I have to say I was extremely disappointed. My son and I both said we are too white for this. It was so spicy and we couldn’t eat it. I gave it to multiple Hispanic coworkers who like spicy and even they said it was too much.
There isn’t really a dining room, but there is a window to Overtime Sports Pub next door where you can order and sit.
We ordered from a limited menu (paper), but the full menu (chalkboard) starts tomorrow.
I ordered 3 pulled pork sliders without all the extras on it. The meat, BBQ sauce, and buns were all delicious. Not knowing it came with fries, we ordered mac and cheese. The fries were really good, crispy and well flavored. The mac and cheese has extra flavor to it, maybe a bit of spice and green onion.
My husband ordered the brisket sandwich, which came topped with coleslaw and BBQ sauce.
Everything was really tastey as we ordered it, but I felt like everything on the menu was specially flavored, which seemed like a bit too much. (My husband disagrees.)
The staff was friendly and helpful as we navigated a new-to-us menu.
The bar was well stocked and the waitress was friendly.
The menu board made the food sound better than it tasted. The brisket sandwich was lacking in any real flavor. The coleslaw was ok again lacking any real flavor.
The baked beans had alittle spice on the back end but nothing to set them apart.
The turkey was ok but dry. It has some kind of aftertaste, couldn’t tell if it was from the seasoning or maybe a brine.
The fries were the best part of the meal.
I’ve ate bbq all over the US and this was my first Ohio bbq experience. I’ll avoid Ohio bbq after this. The only word I can think of to describe it is “generic”. Grocery stores have better prepackaged bbq than this.
I had the pulled pork sandwich combo with mac and cheese and my partner had the loaded mac and cheese. We both got the fountain drinks. Superb quality and the price was more than fair. I also noticed that there’s a really easy connection with the Overtime Pub next door, so may have to check that out for a gameday the next time the Broncos play a day game. Would recommend, and will be back!
