VERDICT: A consistent favorite and an absolutely killer duo paired with The Gas Lantern (see note in Service).

FOOD: This place kills it. Get the fries, pretzel, cheese curds, and wings. Get a draft (a good hazy or stout depending on the mood) or cocktail (pictured: the Smoke and Thyme from the Gas Lantern) and enjoy the culinary bliss as it unfolds. Their burgers and sandwiches are completely worth the stop, too, depending if you’re looking to shoot the breeze or shoot a few rounds on the pool table (my preferred entertainment).

SERVICE: I have consistently received fast food service when stopping by the Gas Lantern. The bartenders are prompt, and their new buzzer system is likely responsible. The food was already good but now it’s even better due to the fast delivery.

ATMOSPHERE: Given that they are a ghost kitchen, they don’t really have an atmosphere or presence other than stellar food.

I have had food from the other locations they service in this complex, and it’s been good, but it’s definitely the best from the Gas Lantern.

Here out of town on a conference, heard about the place at the airport and came to check it out. Sat down and had Travis serve me, recommended the French dip and I’m telling you what. One of the best sandwiches they say in town and it lives by that, the service is incredible. The place is clean and the beer is pretty good. If you’re looking for a good place to come and check out this is it also has a pool table. Look for Travis. He works the bar and he has a lot of insight on the town if you’re visiting.

This is in conjunction with White Dog Brewing company. The food wasn’t anything great but it was good. Service was good
Atmosphere is very wide open, high ceilings and warehouse type feeling.

Stopped by for dinner and grabbed some buffalo wings and their (I think) white dog fries. Wings were decent and buffalo sauce was great. Fries were nice and thick and fresh! Great downtown location also! They had just started trivia as we were leaving, next time I’ll join!

Absolutely terrible service asked for lightly cooked fries. Refused to cook fries given a gluten bun when asked for gluten-free and not giving bacon. I will not be going back to the establishment and I was very disappointed. They used to be my favorite. I would not recommend them or recommend anybody to eat there

I tried their Cesar salad and it had all the flavor I was expecting. Just the right amount of anchovy for the right bite. I asked for a bit more of the dressing and it was perfect. The only draw back was some of the croutons were way too hard to chew. Other than that I will continue coming. My friend that met me there was impressed with their French dip and I had their bacon bourbon burger last week. EXCELLENT burger.

The brisket burger is my top 10 burgers. The pretzel and cheese curds are great as well. The only thing that I was hoping more of is smoked flavors in the meat. The fry sauce was more smoky than the meats themselves.

So Smoke & Thyme is the Food Truck that serves up the food for the customers of White Dog Brewing. (It took us a little bit to figure this out.) But we are so glad we did!!! We had the wings to start…phenomenal! Perfectly smoked and crispy with the dry rub option. I had the French dip which might be one of the best I’ve ever had in my life. top 10 at least. My girlfriend had the turkey blt and loved it! You also get amazing fries and a fry sauce that I want to put on everything I eat now!!! So glad we found this place.

The best burger and fries combo in the Boise area in my opinion. I would drink the fry sauce if I could.
