I wish I knew that before I paid with my card.
I had a great first visit. A smallish place that had basic options for BBQ meats. sandwiches and platters. There is a small parking lot north of the building or you can park on Hampton. Servers were efficient and pleasant.
Food was good. There is indoor and outdoor seating.

We had a wonderful experience at Smoke N Bones BBQ.
The best tasting BBQ in south city!! The brisket and ribs are our new favorite. But their French fried Green Beans was the hit for our whole party. We had 10 in our group & the staff made us feel so welcomed.

We had an amazing meal here last night. It was exceptionally good. The smoke wings were to die for. They were very meaty-and not greasy at all. I had the brisket platter and there was a lot of meat on it with barely any fat. Excellent sides options. Our server Kristen was on point and very polite. She answered all our questions and took great care of us. She really made it a nice experience and made some good recommendations. We will be back.

Spur of the moment stop for lunch and was NOT disappointed. Food was fantastic and prices very reasonable. Two of us split a 3 combo meal with two sides. We were so excited about the brisket we double up on that with the pork. Our sides were cole slaw and green beans. Everything, bbq and sides, tasted like it was fresh made moments before we walked in the door. So good. Will go back next time I’m in town. 10 out of 10 recommend! Also, the service was equally as fantastic. Very helpful and knowledgeable.

One of my many “food hunts” always includes BBQ. I did a Google search and found this gem.
As I entered, I loved the cleanliness of the place and the ever so tempting smell of hickory smoke.
The gentleman at the register was great with assisting me. He actually suggested a meal that was a better value for my buck.
I’m also very EXCITED to say, they have a deliciously seasoned, we’ll smoked brisket!
In my opinion, that’s hard to find.
All their meats that were well smoked (which I LOVE ) The meat was smoky and tender. I added a touch of seasoning to the meat. It was smoky. I just needed a dash more seasoning. The sides I had were good as well. You could see so obviously that the potato salad was homemade ( another thing I liked).
The golden brown, delicious bread was good, too. I definitely suggest you try this place for some good, smoked meat.

The food was excellent!!!! We got ribs, smoked chicken, fried chicken, and brisket. The brisket was my favorite. It was juicy, flavorful, and had a nice bark. We also had garlic bread, fried green beans, regular green beans, baked beans, and Mac ‘n cheese. The baked beans were my favorite! I wish I had pictures to share, but we ate all the food before I could remember to take a pic.

Smoke N Bones BBQ is hands down some of the best barbecue in St. Louis. I’ve eaten here a few times and the food is always incredible – tender meats, perfectly smoked flavor, and sides that taste just as good as the main dishes. The brisket and wings are my go-to favorites, but honestly, everything I’ve tried has been excellent.
I also had them cater a work event a while back, and it was a huge hit. The food showed up fresh, hot, and well-packaged, and my coworkers couldn’t stop raving about it. The portions were generous, and the whole process was smooth and stress-free. It made the event feel extra special and was way better than the usual “catering” food you get from chain places.
If you’re looking for great barbecue in St. Louis, whether dining in or catering, Smoke N Bones is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Visiting STL for a few days and seeing this place was rated well, and open for lunch of a Tuesday, I hailed a Uber and set out; hungry. Now my Rib hankering is satisfied!! I ordered a half slab and two sides for lunch.
Fast & friendly service delivered with a smile. Light smoke with a sweet-leaning, but nice flavorful rub. Juicy baby backs!! I like that they do not remove the membrane. It does provide natural protection of drying out, so thanks! The ribs are Cooked well. Bite through, competition style. Not sloppy fall offs. They were Good as plated.
Sauced: the sweet sauce is pretty standard thinner sauce but sticks to the ribs nicely. Excellent spicy sauce left a little zing on the lips! For sides, the Mac n cheese was nicely done. Not greasy, too saucy. Very Flavorful. I Didn’t feel gross or guilty for eating it. Good creamy coarse-cut slaw too! And the grilled bread is the perfect addition for sopping up all the mess. Price point: fair value for excellent bbq.
Bottom line: highly recommendable and returnable.

Very chill. I think you’d be hard pressed to find such good smoked food after dark. We had a full rack of ribs. Brisket and the other half had a pulled pork sandwich. She ate all of it. That’s almost unheard of btw lol. All the sides were great and service was prompt. Thank you! Well be back
