Went to the new location on US 1…BLOWN AWAY!!! The service was amazing! The food was great! The atmosphere beautiful! Portion size was great.
Our server, Pretty, was warm, welcoming, shared the history of the organization and the chef’s vision. Learning about the new location, their first dinner restaurant, we were so excited to know we were among the first to share feedback about our experience.
Overall, very satisfied. Pricing was very reasonable for the quality and amount of food. Everything was delicious. We shared a single entree and got some appetizers.
The CheeseCano Burger and Grilled Sweet Potato were new and unique. The daily specials are RIDICULOUSLY priced with all you can eat days and and we are going back today for $5 smash burgers with our entire team.

The service and atmosphere were really really top-notch. However, the food did not impress at all. It was overly citrusy or under seasoned based off what we ordered. we received some chips and salsa. The salsa was really good for me because I like really citrusy things but if other people got it, I don’t think they would like it very much. Then we ordered an appetizer the loaded fries which we’re supposed to have corn, but we didn’t get corn on them. We just got cheese and white sauce and bacon bits. The fries according to my husband were the best thing. I ordered the steak tacos, which I really like the tacos but the beans to me taste burned but the rice was really good, but there was no salsa to accompany the tacos so it was kind of bland and boring. My husband ordered the classic Smashburger. he said that it had no flavor and was really bland. I tasted it and I agreed it had a funky taste to it. I wanted to get dessert, but my husband talked me out of it since we didn’t really enjoy the food too much maybe in the near future I’ll give them another try and try something different but honestly, it wasn’t anything that I was excited to come back for or maybe even try again.

We were in the area and decided to go back and much to our surprise it’s a new location. We sat at the bar and our drink order was taken immediately. We ordered the lobster Benedict & shrimp and grits. VERY GOOD! Highly recommend. We will be back.

Had such a great experience at Hog and the Hen Scratch Kitchen! The food was so good — can’t go wrong with the biscuits and gravy! everything tasted fresh and homemade. But the real star was our waitress, Barbie! She was super sweet, attentive, and made us feel right at home. You can tell she really enjoys what she does.
She gave awesome recommendations and checked in without ever feeling overbearing. Definitely ask for Barbie if you go — she made the whole meal that much better! Can’t wait to come back.

The service, food, and atmosphere was amazing! Our bartender Pretty was an absolute joy to be around. Her white and green tea shots are to die for!! They were the best we ever had and just the knowledge of the drinks she makes is amazing!! She makes her drinks from scratch and she explained to us how she makes them. Pretty was even able to accommodate my allergy to flour when I wanted to try the Brisket Nachos, which I really do appreciate!! This may be one of our favorite spots to go because of our bartender Pretty, for she has an aura about her that is very welcoming! I hope one day her efforts pay off and she gets a raise because she does deserve it!!
I dont know if pretty is just a bartender because it seemed she was doing everything, I’d say she was more of a manager than just a worker from how well she was running the bar to helping with other tasks. All in all it was a good time! Much love to Pretty, even when she was under pressure she was still doing her job really well, helping everyone, and holding the restaurant down! If she ever become a partner or owner of a restaurant like this I would definitely be going there!! We will be making this place a weekly go to especially if Pretty is there!

I came in thursday evening for the first time, my experience was fantastic. My bartender was Pretty, she was so kind and attentive. She was able to accommodate me since I have allergens. Personally i’m not a fan of sweeter cocktails and she provided me with one of the best margaritas i’ve ever had. I ordered a brisket platter, it was definitely more on the dry side. When I told pretty she tried to accommodate me with in house sauces. I’d say overall she gave me an amazing first experience and I’ll definitely be back.

The food was delicious, but I found a bread tie in my quinoa. When I informed Stephanie, the manager on shift, she simply took the plate without apologizing or offering to make it right. She didn’t even offer to replace my meal I had to ask the waiter, who was polite and apologetic, to do so. After thinking it over, I called Stephanie back to my table to return the dish and have it removed from the bill.
That level of response is completely unacceptable for a manager. The waiter handled the situation professionally, but Stephanie’s attitude reflected poor customer service and a lack of professionalism. She definitely needs additional training on how to handle guest concerns properly.
Will I return? No.
A company’s success depends on its employees great food may impress, but exceptional service is what keeps customers coming back.

We had the best experience at Hen and the Hog in Pompano Beach! The food was absolutely amazing — I had the ribs, and they were fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor. My kids loved them too, which says a lot! My husband ordered the turkey leg and said it was hands-down the best he’s ever had. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home. We’ll definitely be coming back soon — highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for delicious comfort food done right!

Absolutely loved it here. I happened to be passing by last weekend and I Came in. The food is absolutely amazing for such a complex menu. Really made me wanna eat things that I usually don’t or haven’t tried. The Head chef and his are amazing for producing something so edible. And then the Pinnacle of the night were the drinks. My god, the bartender, Pretty is an absolute boss at what she does. Her drinks will really make you feel like you paid your money’s worth and then some. Her Manhattan signature is definitely my next go to for sure. Absolutely loved my time there. Glad I randomly went in there for such a great experience
