Brisket is delicious, fried okra perfection, my kids loved the chicken tenders. The french fries were nearly fried to oblivion. The pulled pork is delicious. If you get the pulled pork and fried onion ring poboy, make sure to get it dressed. It’s really dry with just meat and bread. I recommend adding one of sauces available at the tables to the poboy. They do have a tangy North Carolina vinegar based barbecue sauce upon request.
The sauces here are enjoyable and I like the tangy white barbecue sauce and there is a balanced proprietary barbecue sauce that is smokey and perfect with the right beverage.
The cole slaw just isn’t to my region of taste. I prefer vinegar based slaw. This one is very heavy mayonnaise, touch of seasoning but without anything to really cut it to balance the flavor. It’s fine, just thick and creamy. It would make a fine dressing for the poboy in a pinch though.
Getting in and out of the parking lot is relatively easy due to roadside access in both sides. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

I ordered the smoke fries to go and I picked them up within the 15 minute window I was told… I get back to my office which is 5 minutes away and the fries are absolutely disgusting. The whole plate was completely inedible. The cheese was burnt, the fries were burnt so badly that they crumbled when you tried to grab one. They didnt come apart like typical cheese fries. Horrible food.

Spent $50 on dinner to-go… was absolutely horrible. Everything thrown together. No flavor whatsoever. My sons corndog was so burnt he couldn’t eat it. Save your money and go elsewhere!

The food here is amazing! The service was excellent and the ambiance was awesome, very sparse, modern yet cool structural type architecture, loved the lighting fixtures! I had the Brisket and my dining companion had the ribs, both were excellent, perfectly cooked without being over smoked. We got baked beans, fried okra, cheese grits, and potato salad as our sides, all were delicious. And the sweet and smokey sauce was perfect with my Brisket. If you haven’t been, definitely check it out!! I’ll definitely be going back soon!

The smoked meats were pretty good. The smoked wings and Smoke fries were good. Definitely sharing size. Their BBQ sauces were lacking in my opinion. The regular sauce is very sweet and molasses tasting. They have another vinegar based sauce that is quite thin and more vinegar than anything else. Overall, not bad but also nothing to write home about.

I ordered the 2 meat combo plate with brisket, ribs, beans, and potato salad. Brisket was pretty good. Ribs were very dry.. Like jerky dry.. Beans were great as was the potato salad.. The bone I have to pick? Portion size is not worth the $20.76 i was charged.. I opened the box and was actually shocked.. I doubt I’ll be eating their again.. The quest for the perfect BBQ continues..

Had a BBQ brisket sandwich meat tasted good but had just too much fat in it. Coleslaw was good. Service was good and quick but it took me 11 minutes for someone to come to the counter and check me out. I will return one time does not make a trend.

Nice staff, but sadly the BBQ is mediocre. They rely on the sauce for flavor. The brisket was bland, the pulled pork was bad, and the ribs had good smoke flavors but didn’t taste any other seasonings. Mac and cheese was good, but the greens had sweet tea as flavoring and wasn’t good.

I ordered the “pork wings” and they were the best chicken wings I’ve ever had hands down. The skin was super crunchy while the meat was still juicy and tender, with an amazing smoky flavor all the way to the bone. I also ordered the “sliced brisket with baked beans and cole slaw.” The brisket was pull apart tender, super juicy, wonderful bark and flavor that would make you slap your grandma. The sides were great also, awesome Cole slaw. I’ve passed bye this place so many times without thought of stopping there. And I have to say I regret I didn’t stop sooner. I was completely blown away how good it was, definitely one of my go to’s now. From the food, to the funky atmosphere and cool light fixtures, to the waiters and reasonable pricing. This is an all around great place I wish I could give it more then just 5 stars. I encourage everyone to give it just one try, you won’t be disappointed.
