My wife and I walked in and immediately smelled the smoke from the back, that’s when we knew we picked the right place. The position sizes are extremely generous, the server was an absolute delight and the food…… omg so packed with Smokey flavor topped with house made BBQ sauce that is out of this world. I’d give more stars if I could. Come hungry y’all.

We took our grandsons for lunch, Lisa was awesome , she is so personable and met all our needs before we needed to ask. The food was delicious and such big portions and reasonably priced. We will Definitely go again! 5 stars

I ordered a pick 3 dinner and cornbread; I was very hopeful when I picked up the bag. Weighty, good portion size overall, enough for two to three people. Sides were Mashed taters and green beans, the pick 3 was Brisket, Turkey and Pulled Pork.
At first, I tried the cornbread, which i can say is phenomenal beyond a doubt. No complaints there.
Then we tried the meats. All three were pretty bland overall, and not too tender. The only exception was the pulled pork, it was tender and juicy, but there was almost no sauce whatsoever. Looked like a tablespoons worth just plopped on top. Noy enough for more than 2 or 3 small bites. The brisket was dry, though the fat just melted in your mouth. The turkey? Just dry. Nothing else. Smokey, dry as bones turkey.
Overall disappointment. Will most likely stick to Mission BBQ for the foreseeable future.

Immediately greeted by our wonderful server, who offered our choice of table or booth. We started with the bacon wrapped brisket, which was very good. Their sauce is awesome. We had soft drinks that never went before half before being refilled, and she kept coming back to check on us. Portions were large. We had the 3 choice combos and HUGE account of fries. The cornbread was more like a leaf and tasted great. Good BBQ, nice atmosphere, and great service. WE’LL BE BACK!

Great little barbecue joint. First time visiting and we weren’t disappointed. Service was fast and pleasant. The atmosphere was relaxing. The restaurant appeared to be clean and welcoming. My wife and I each got a sandwich that was full of flavor, (though the buns may have been a bit stale). The French fries with rosemary were totally unexpected. I don’t want to eat my fries any other way again!!! Overall a nice experience with tasty food. We look forward to coming back and trying the other options.

Disappointed is an understatement. I’d been CRAVING some yummy brisket and didn’t want to drive all of the way to Mentor for it. We decided to try this spot with high hopes of it being our new bbq place. It isn’t.
All we ordered was beans and brisket. The brisket came out in thick slabs and wreaked of old socks. The smell was off putting but the taste was even worse. It tasted like it was over a week old and was also ridiculously chewy. We were beyond disappointed. We bought an entire pound and ate MAYBE 2 whole bites. No amount of sauce could fix it either. It was truly the worst brisket I’ve ever had. Please do better… I want good bbq near me.

Got the pork nachos as an appetizer. They were fantastic!! This could have fed 4 or 5 people.
I got the The Famous Big Butt w/cheese and onion straws and FF, hubby got Black Angus Beef Brisket with onion straws and FF also.
The sandwiches were great and the buns were filled. There were so many ff on both the plates it seemed more of a waste.
The manager and our server both came.to.our table several times to check.on us to see if we needed anything, like drunk refills, napkins, to go containers, and dessert.
Very reasonably priced for both of us with pop and iced tea drinks.

After attending the Lake Erie College “ STORM “ Football Game we decided to have dinner in the area. Not being familiar with the area we checked Google Maps for Restaurants and chose the “SMOKE” BBQ ! What a GREAT choice ! Upon arrival our party of 5 was pleasantly greeted and promptly seated. Our waitress “JEN” greeted us in a friendly hospitable manor and took our orders for appetizers and drinks ! We ordered their “ House Made Potato Chips “ and “Fresh Cut Loaded Fries “ Both were served in a timely manor and did not disappoint! Both were well prepared and the “House made Dip” for the chips was the “Icing on The Cake “ simply delicious! We ordered our entrees of several BBQ Combos, several smoked chicken wraps and a smoked chicken taco dinners ! Our meals came out quickly and were hot ,and excellently prepared! ALL of the SMOKED meat, Brisket, PULLED Pork, and Pulled Chicken, were juicy, tender and smoked to Perfection! Simply Delicious!! We were ALL elated to have picked this establishment! Our waitress, JEN, totally enhanced our experience with her friendly, attentive customer service and is a definite asset to the team! We’ll DEFINITELY be back when visiting the Painesville area!!!

Walking in the door the smell guarantees your going to love it. Started with pulled pork egg rolls stuffed with pork & coleslaw that you can dip in a spicy ranch – or use their excellent BBQ sauce. Then we jumped into the largest baked potato I’ve seen loaded with pulled pork topped with sauce, cheese, sour cream and scallions ( enough for two easily). Then the Black Angus beef brisket sandwich – great smoked flavor covered in sauce, coleslaw and onion straws. Thick slices of the best brisket I’ve had in quite a while. Comes with a pile of fries. Ate as much as we could then took home the rest.
Smoke is on my BBQ list to visit again.

Second time having Smoke BBQ, it is absolutely delicious. Ordered it to go around 8pm and Lisa answered the phone in a professional enthusiastic manner. The first time I went I got the half slab, mashed potatoes, and green beans. As far as the ribs and mashed potatoes went 100/10. I didn’t fall in love with the green beans so this time I ordered the same but switched the green beans for corn bread and WOW. Hands down best cornbread I’ve ever had. It has a brown sugar crust on it that’ll knock your socks off.
Don’t look else where for your BBQ – this is the spot to go to 🙂
