The moment I saw “BBQ” on the menu, I was hooked. I ordered the ‘BBQ Bowl with Mac n’ Cheese, Smoked Brisket, Fried Onions, and BBQ sauce’ and it was phenomenal. The brisket was incredibly tender and delicious, just as good as what I had in Texas. Everything about my meal was excellent. A great bonus: they offer beer, which pairs perfectly with the meal.
The service was friendly and welcoming. Plus, they’re incredibly pet-friendly; furry companions receive a complimentary doggie patty! I’m already planning my next visit to sample more of their menu.
My brother ordered a 1/2 pound of smoked brisket and I ordered the 3 chicken tenders, two medium and one hot. My brother got a lager and I got a a soda cup, and got Diet Coke.
The brisket had a great tasting bark and was juicy, but it was super fatty, to the point that like 1/4 of it was hard to eat. The chicken tenders were really good overall, only a couple tiny parts of them were chewy, and the seasoning was pretty good. You get a decent portion for the price as well, so the pricing is on point.
Overall, Smoke and Fire gets 4/5 stars. It’s definitely good, and although it’s not the best BBQ, it’s still a worthwhile, tasty deal for the price point.
It took about 15 minutes to get our food, 2 smash burgers and 2 brisket grilled cheese with brisket fries and an order of hot Cheetos Macaroni Balls. For starters, the smash burger was actually smashed, bun and all. It was heavily salted and peppered; oddly just in the center of the patties. It was Okay, but did not have much taste. The macaroni balls were hard as a rock and it was even harder to cut them with the flimsy plastic utensils they provided.
Moving on to the brisket grilled cheese. Not sure what to say except they were loaded with BBQ sauce that finished the flavor of the cheese and tasted like a plain brisket sandwich.
The best item by far were the brisket fries but get them without the cilantro. The sweet pickles are a bit overwhelming and the two do not go together.
Overall, we had a decent meal. The cost for 4 people with soda drinks was about $120.00. A bit pricey for the mediocre food quality. I would honestly say that I have had better BBQ at Famous Dave’s and Dickey’s BBQ.
The atmosphere was decent. They have a large dinning room and an outdoor patio. Seating was not an issue even for a Friday night. Would I eat there again, probably not.
