We came here when they were in the food cart across the street from the resort. We loved them then, we love them now! So good!
They are now in the Nawiliwili Lounge. Which is nice as you can eat inside.
The Kauai burger was outstanding! This burger has Kalua pig, grilled pineapple, grilled onions, cheddar cheese and Hawaiian BBQ sauce. Omg- just amazing!
The Smittyaki burger is a mushroom Swiss cheese burger. I had a couple bites of it and it was flat out amazing too.
Great onion rings and fries too!

Absolutely delicious!!! We just stopped by for a quick lunch and were blown away by the food!! The best smash burgers we’ve had in a long time paired with perfect fries. Definitely worth the stop!

Best burgers we have had in a long time! Fresh patties and cooked to perfection! They have a special sauce they put on the burger that is to die for! The owner came to our table to give us refills on our special fry sauce we asked for The owners and staff are super friendly. The environment was clean. Especially the restrooms! We look forward to going back again! I would highly recommend eating here if you are ever in the area!

In this day and age it’s hard to dish out a burger that stands apart from the crowd. Smitty’s Smash Burger has achieved a Herculean task by distinguishing itself with their hand crafted smash burgers. I would rate the burger I had there to be top 2 most delicious burgers I’ve had the pleasure of smashing into my face. Plus they had a great liquor selection if you are craving something a little extra. Fantastic place and my favorite food spot in Kauai.

I think Smitty’s used to a food truck, but it is now co-located in Nawiliwili Bar & Lounge.
The bartender was friendly when we walked in. It wasn’t busy, so we were allowed to pick a table.
We got two Smitty Burgers (a combo mushroom swiss and teriyaki burger). I wasn’t so sure that would work, but it did! One burger was straight off the menu and the other was minus teriyaki sauce. The one WITH teriyaki was better. I recommend that way.
The fries and onion rings were perfect. Crispy on the outside and I could bite right through without pulling the onion out of the batter.
The bun was also a great sponge dough. Pillows soft, but not soaked and mushy. A rare thing in my experience.
Definitely recommend.
Edit: People seem to want binary (versus nuanced) recommendations. In that case, I have to bump my review to 5-stars. I would happily eat here again and confidently recommend it to friends.

Early in the night it was slow with a few customers. Don’t let this disuade you from eating here. It gets busy later with a local crowd.
Great burgers and wings. Amazing service and so much fun. Reasonable prices and great staff and great fun with other customers.
Get the monkey mai tai trust me.

Great simple smash burger, quick with friendly service. The recent bad reviews seem to be from people who couldn’t find it. It is now inside of/embedded into the Nawilili Bar & Grill, behind the Musubi truck. Google is giving them a hard time with their business information. Just walk into Nawilili Bar & Grill and ask to order a Smitty Burger!

This place has the best smash burgers! This place is in walking distance from our hotel (Royal Sonesta) and we enjoyed eating lunch here one day. The staff was SO nice and the burgers and fries were amazing. This is a must stop while you are in Lihue.

Fantastic smash burgers. Super tasty. The most impressive part is the texture (crispy on the outside, tender on the inside) of the beef patty.
The onion rings are exceptionally well done too. Ask for the special sauce on the side!

Stopped at Smittys for a SMASH BURGER! The burger was super juicy and all the toppings fresh and crunchy. Smittys special sauce was incredible! I ordered onion rings that came with added special sauce and realized i wished i could take a jar home. Plenty of aloha from the owner who was able to take a quick break and asked us about the food. I am excited to try all of the creative burgers and sides!
