When I was growing up, my grandfather owned Pizza King in Blanchard. The crust was totally from scratch and homemade. He actually would let it rise the next day and he always told me that great Pizza is always about the crust. Smitty’s pizza is the only pizza in Shreveport Bossier area that reminds me of the old Pizza King pizza… Their crust is totally homemade and believe me I know how to tell if it is. I’ve gotten a pizza from here in the last month four times and I am so happy that I found this place. If you want real pizza, real homemade crust from scratch, you need to try this place. Great job Smitty’s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

90s nostalgia pizzeria. The taste brought me back to what I remember pizza being when I was a kid. Was a busy Saturday night but we were seated promptly and had our appetizer and then entree pizzas within 20-25 minutes. It was very good solid pizza. Nothing to blow you away but a throw back for your taste buds. Restaurant was clean and would be a good place to enjoy a game on the tv screens. Salad bar and brews served here as well.
We had a thin crust Canadian bacon, a New York style cheese and the cheese sticks for appetizer! Added ranch for dipping and it even was dated! Says a lot and that they care how fresh things are. Would visit again!

My Clarity
Went here for date night. It was excellent. The waitress was so kind and helpful, wish I got her name! The pizza was delicious. You get more food here than you would going to a normal sit-down restaurant for the same price too.
The pizza did take a little while but it makes sense. Better to have it fresh and have everything you want on it. That’s what makes it so good.
I would recommend this place for families, couples, friends, or by yourself even. Good quality and good service!

This pizza place is the best around. I have been buying pizza here for over 25 years. When my favorite pizza place closed (pizza king) this place became my favorite of all time. Lots of toppings and polite staff. Keep up the great work!

We visited Jan 4, 2026. First time at new location. Employees were yelling back and forth to each other across the restaurant and to the kitchen. Many tables were dirty and not cleaned off. I guess maybe short handed or had been real busy prior. We are older and have frequented Smitty’s regularly over the years. Love the pizza thin crust supreme and the cold beer mugs. On this night out waitress was nice, but when we ordered our traditional large 1/2 supreme and 1/2 meatlovers we were told we could not. We would have to order 2 pizzas to get what each of us wanted, as we like different things. She said jokingly that management said if anyone else puts in a 1/2 and 1/2 they were fired. When the pizza arrived it was good as always, but not the same. Crust was thicker and the outside rim was thick and dry. The sauce and ingredients were not placed out to the edges like in years past. It was good pizza, but just not the same Smitty’s we expected from the past. So we ordered one Smitty’s special and my boyfriend just had to pick off what he didnt want. There is no reason in the world we should not be able to order 1/2 and 1/2. Probably will not rush back.

I forgot what the name of the person who tended to us was, but he was a man with a buzz cut and glasses. He really made our first time visiting Smitty’s a lot better! Very hospitable, friendly, and kept checking in on us while being prompt with everything.
This was another place that was suggested to me for local pizza, and I’m once again thankful we tried it out. The inside gives off totally chill, relaxed, laid-back vibes from the person that greeted us in the front to the ambience inside. Definitely not a Cici’s, and also not a bougie artisan pizzeria. It was nice!
Pizza tasted great, chock full of toppings. I’d say that a small breadsticks and medium pizza is adequate for 2 people, which is what we got with a bit leftover. Can definitely tell the dough is fresh and crisp, especially with the breadsticks dipped in their sauces.

They have really good pizza. I was a little disappointed that I didn’t get my lunch today. I walked in the lady was really nice don’t get me wrong. She assumed I was doing take out instead of dine in. I told her what pizza I wanted. She asks was it to go. I told her dine in. She told me to sit wherever I wanted and that another young lady was going to take care of me. The lady brought my plate and drink. More customers walked in. I came at 11:51 to be exact. I noticed people were getting their food who came waaay after me. So I got the attention of the older lady. I said mame I haven’t gotten my food yet. She says it’s in the oven it’s not ready yet. When it’s ready I’ll bring it to you. Her tone was kinda smart as if I was being impatient. So she asks the other young lady did she take my order. The young lady says no I thought you took it. So I’m sitting there patiently waiting for my food and all the time no one put my order in. I’m really disappointed because I wasted my lunch break sitting there and don’t get me wrong they have some good pizza, but I didn’t get my food which I had my mouth set for it. Maybe I’ll try again some other time but no time soon.

The service was excellent. The extra cheese pizzas, not so much. The pizzas were over cooked, light on sauce, and boy am i glad I paid for extra cheese. The extra cheese was what I would expect for a normal Smitty’s pizza. I don’t mind paying more for their pizza, but I expected better from this iconic place.
