Truly one of the best options. Expect some wait.
If you have not tried it, the best bang for your buck with the largest variety of protein and sweets is the monte cristo sandwich (Fluffy french toast sandwich with ham and scrambled egg inside, served with lightly sweetened strawberry sauce). You can add an egg for maximum satiety. I highly recommend subbing out the hash browns (too oily, not crispy, not salted) for their lesser-known potato pancake, and add a side of their apple fruit to add to it (pineapple juice and cinnamon make the apple side a true treat). This gets you all the classics: French toast and eggs with ham, with strawberry, and potato, and apple topping. It’s unreal. You can ask for real butter as well 😉

My company got an omelette and raved about it. Apparently sticking with veggies in the omelette yields the best flavor and consistency. They have come all growing up. Their milk is a classic drink, with a few cubes of ice to make it as cold as you love it!

The service was out of this world and Kaitlyn helped make this a true 5 star breakfast experience.

Enjoy your trip!

Stopped in to Smitty’s bright and early and everything was fantastic. My server, Dart, was friendly and on top of it, the food was amazing and for a fair price.

If you’re like me and like your hash browns a little more cooked, I’d suggest asking for extra crispy as they were a little light for me.

Its wonderful here. Everyone is kind and we love having the wonderful conversations with everyone. Its a great family environment. Its quite busy here at times but it’s a well loved place. Love the decor. I hope this year they Christmas decorations outside because that would be so fun and happy. The servers and the owner are so kind and helpful. They always treat us well. The owner is always here, which is awesome because it shows he truly cares and meets the needs of everyone around him. The food is so delicious here. I recommend the pancakes, salads (they are giant but you can order a small too) and the hamburgers are just YUM! Thank You for treating us like family and we will always return.

I had to make corrections on my review as somehow my review got mixed up with another by mistake. So this is the actual review I meant to post.

Biscuits and gravy . My wife liked the pancakes . Very busy place because it is right next to a very big hotel. We had good timing at 830am, but by 9am the place was completely full with people waiting for a table. I didn’t look at it but there was another area that could be used as a large get together.

Had the German pancake and it was huge. Would definitely get it again. Only partial complaint is the added strawberries were canned. Would love for them to be fresh cut.

Great breakfast place! Food was good and the atmosphere was cozy. We had the German pancake, (I think that’s what it was called) and biscuits with gravy and hash browns. The real gem was the pancake! It was light and beautiful, reminded me of a sort-of-souffle. Topped with fresh lemon and a tiny bit of powdered sugar we were satisfied with this never seen before treat. Coffee was ok not great, initially we were given the shelf stable yuk creamers but upon asking the server for milk or cream they brought some. The server was also really sweet and genuine.

Everything here met or exceeded my expectations from a local breakfast diner. The prices seemed low compared to the portion sizes and the quality was just great. I wasn’t blown away by the eggs Benedict but the sourdough pancakes are something I’d come back for personally. If I was back in town and needed to get breakfast I’d definitely come back.

You can always tell how clean a restaurant is, by their restrooms. Unfortunately this is the 2nd time we’ve visited this restaurant and each time it was absolutely terrible. Today, we got the biscuits and gravy and prime rib eggs Benedict. Due to THE LACK OF SEASONING, had to drown everything in ketchup or hot sauce to even have some minor amount of flavor. The biscuits and gravy was an absolute NIGHTMARE!! Cold and had zero flavor. The prime rib eggs Benedict was also a NIGHTMARE! The prime rib was like old lunch meat they just burned on the grill and covered it up with eggs etc. The men’s restroom is DISGUSTING!!!!!! Here visiting from Texas for the next two months and this is the last time I’ll ever come here to eat. If you’re wanting a good breakfast in a clean environment STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! If their restrooms look like this I would hate to see their actual kitchen!!!

We went for breakfast at about 1230 on a Saturday. It wasn’t very busy, we were sat immediately, and had drinks within a couple minutes. We decided on the chicken fried steak meal, with 3 pancakes. Then we got the full order of biscuits and gravy with a side of hash browns, ham steak and medium eggs. The chicken fried steak was great, came off the stove and was served immediately. If was hot and cooked properly, no rubbery texture like a lot of places. The eggs and hash browns were also delicious and prepared properly. The ham steak was good, no complaints, but the biscuits and gravy were luke warm, acceptable taste though. Overall a pretty good trip, would recommend.

If you saw a happy 300+ pound guy walk out of Smitty’s today looking like he ate too much, that was me. My breakfast burrito was HUGE! Its was the best burrito I have ever had. I e had many good memories made at Smitty’s over the years. I do wonder why they put the silverware, straws and napkins in paper envelopes. It seems like that would be more work for the staff and an unnecessary supply expense for the restaurant. Thanks for the great lunch.
