It is our weekly routine to get the Lafayette Sourdough Boule (sliced at your request).
No one compares to their baked goods!! We love them!!
The service at Smittybread is consistently top-notch, with an energetic team that’s always friendly and welcoming, even the folks in the back wave hello, earning them a solid 8/10 for service. Parking is remarkably easy, and I experienced no wait time during my visit. The lunch sandwich experience is great as there are many choices to pick from. This building, originally a turn-of-the-century general store, still carries an inviting warmth, adding to the charm. I will be back!
A few weeks ago, we were at the Farmers Market and bought our first uncut loaf. It was absolutely amazing, bursting with flavor .
This time, we asked the vendor to slice the loaf for us, but they didn’t have a bread slicer with them.
So, they referred us to their store on 4th Street, stating that they would slice the bread for us.
Little did we know that they were not only a baker of bread but a baker of treats as well
We just had to sample just about everything that they had, and we were extremely impressed.
My wife and I were once young professionals. One day a mysterious woman (a colleague) brought us some croissants to cheer us up. Now we live under a bridge, scavenging for pennies. We dream only of buttery, flaky heaven. We subsist only on memories of perfectly soft and salty pretzel bread. We sleep to pass the time until we can go there again.
Don’t try any of their amazing bread. Don’t fall for the call of their perfect croissants. Leave it all to us.
