I recently visited Smithville ice cream shop, with high hopes but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The prices were shocking high for the portions served. I ordered 2 scoops, expecting a generous serving, but what I received was barley a taste. For the price I paid, I expected much more. The quality of the ice cream 2as decent, but it certainly didn’t justify the cost. I left feeling disappointed and cheated. It’s a shame because the shop has potential, but they really need to reconsider their pricing strategy.
Until then, I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to others looking for value for their money.

We like visiting here. They have a quaint little shop with a few tables. Service is always good and the atmosphere is inviting and friendly. Good ole down home sit down a spell kind of place. They serve blue bell ice cream, which is the absolute best in my opinion. I gave the food a 3 star, because they do not have many options other than meat or deep fried. I try to eat a little on the healthier side. I have tried several of their dishes. The loaded fries were ok, just the fries were a little soggy. I like mine crispy, especially when they are loaded. The pizza is ok, nothing special, same with the cheese sticks. The burgers are great, but very greasy. The pilly cheese steak sandwich is by far the best, but be prepared to share it. Over all we like visiting here. If you have a hankering for a heavy meal, you should try it out. Don’t forget to get you some ice cream !
