This is a good place run by good people who do a great service to the community by running a quality shop like this. The Danger sauce is a great addition to any sandwich for a little extra heat and flavor. You can call in orders to go to save a little time, or order in the store and have a look around some cool antiques while you wait. Highly recommended.

It’s an average place to eat. The owners are really nice people, so I feel bad giving only 3 stars, but it’s gone down hill over the years. There are other places to get a better sandwich, but I try to stay loyal because they are nice people and it’s a local business. Prices are typical to every other deli, but depending on the sandwich you get the meat might not be fresh just because they don’t get enough business to go through the less popular meats. My recommendation is stick with the common sandwiches here ( roast beef, ham, or turkey) other wise you may be disappointed.

Old fashion general store with really good sandwiches. Nice people too. Only downside was it was expensive. Was 21$ for a pastrami hard roll, a soda and chips.

I’ve been going to this deli for at least 10 years now. Today ordered 2 subs, bread tasted like it was from the grocery store. I know they use Deisings Bakery for their bread normally and could tell this was not it. When I called to explain how horrible my sandwiches tasted I was told the bread comes from 2 bakeries I must have gotten “the other one”. I have never had my sandwiches on any other bread in the 10 years I’ve been coming here. I was told if I came back they could make me new sandwiches, explained I was on my way to Massachusetts and could not come back. Was then told to keep them and bring them back in a few days to get new ones. Really? Terrible customer service obviously. It’s absurd to ask to keep sandwiches and bring them back. The response I got was, “the owner isn’t going to give you a refund if you don’t bring them back”. Well good for the owner he has now lost my business as well as friends and family.

When I was young kid we would visit this store riding from Kingston to Beacon. Now as an adult I cherish this little deli. The ham and Swiss is so delicious. fresh bread and tasty overall. I get every time I visit area as I live in Connecticut now.

This place is amazing! So so kind to my kids who are wild and love all the comics. That one star review by Bre Nicole is so opposite from the reality of this store, I think she might be projecting a little. Or maybe I’m just an “old lady” with a low paying job, too (We architects DO NOT get paid well). I highly recommend Smith’s for a lovely sandwich, down-to-earth service and a comforting environment.

It shows that this is a family-owned business, and I love it. Ordered a simple breakfast sandwich. Definitely one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. Every single ingredient was distinct and fresh.
