I was visiting home and took my dad to eat here. Absolutely FABULOUS atmosphere, service, and food. Turns out our waitress was the daughter of one of my mom’s best friends. Pops and i really enjoyed everything. Definitely coming back.

Smith’s Soul Food Bistro is a must-visit! I ordered the fish dinner and the hot wings dinner with collard greens, macaroni and cheese, and yams—and everything was on point. The fish was perfectly seasoned and fried just right, the wings were flavorful and crispy, and the sides tasted like real home-cooked soul food. The collard greens were rich and savory, the mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, and the yams were sweet and cooked to perfection.

There is a rich history that should be showcased more. We we’re greeted warmly by the staff. The only issues where food-related and it was the texture of the Mac and cheese (loose) and the sweet & spicy sauce on the soul food Quesadilla. Everything was tasty though….I think of it more as a quality or presentation thing.

I went here last Sunday, I haven’t been here in a few months. I decided to try the soulfood quesadilla ,it was my first time, it was really good,the service was good and pretty quick, if you haven’t been here in a while come back and try the soul food quesadilla it comes with either meatloaf or chicken inside and collard greens and macaroni/ cheese . And some kind of sauce drizzled across it,not sure what kind of sauce but its really good.

I had the meatloaf, mac&cheese and collards, Leigh had the fried chicken with green beans and mac&cheese. The desserts were incredible as well, everything was delicious and Cheryl was a delight to talk to, we left there with our belly’s full and our hearts warmed by the great conversation we had with Cheryl. Decided to try this place being its near my residence. I ordered a meat loaf plate and spouse ordered the Fish plate.
Meatloaf- it was ok..the mama sauce was ketchupy. I should have asked for gravy instead.
Mash potatoes-over mashed if you get my drift.
Collard greens-cooked very very well, but I didn’t care for how it was seasoned.
Fried Fish-My spouse enjoyed the fish.

Potatoe salad-ok-ish.
Overall the food was fulling with some taste. I will return and try something else!

We ate there on Valentines Day. The food was pipping hot, fresh, plentiful and seasoned to perfection esp collard greens. It is Tuesday and I am still thinking how good it was. The service was also good, very attentive. Atmosphere was relaxed, delightful.
