The best bean and bacon soup I’ve ever had. The Okie burger was to die for. Fresh cut fries and great CFS. Service- kind and attentive, thank you for the smiles. The atmosphere was welcoming and felt like home.

If you are looking for some good classic American fare, this would be the place to try. My husband had the chicken fried steak and I had the Friday night prime rib. We were both very happy with our choices. They came with a choice of soup or salad. We had the tomato bisque soup (delicious!) and a generous salad. However, that being said, one of the main reasons we would recommend visiting smith’s was our waitress, Ashley. Words to describe her? Efficient, knowledgeable, personable, and hard working! Thank you, Ashley, for making our evening at smith’s very satisfying.

Food is pretty decent. Bar has a good local atmosphere.

Bartender Jason is unpleasant. Took my empty glass away and would not look me in the eye or ask me if I wanted another. And this was my first drink of the evening, so I wasn’t overserved.

Just like always when he is here, no tip. Well, I went to the kitchen and gave then a tip.

Then the he took his tobacco pouch out of his mouth, tossed it in the trash and continued serving people.

Place was great before he worked here. Now we seldom drop in.

Great greasy spoon breakfast gathering place for great stories and bottomless cups of coffee. They will make you just about everything except patience so bring an extra helping when you come. Good food just takes time!

Beat tasting nachos I’ve had in awhile. Christmas portion was out of this world. Definitely had to put it into a To Go box.

Pro Tip: Start dinner off with drinks on the bar side, so the food quality is less consequential later.

Ordered the beef enchilada special – and let me tell you, special isn’t quite the word I’d use.

To start, the chili that came with it, was from a can and was on top of tater-tots. It was very salty and pretty bland.

Enchiladas: I’d ordered beef and my Grams had ordered pork. Topping the enchilada was a bit of ground beef with sparse sauce (or grease) of some sort. It appeared to be a giant burrito, measuring 11×4″ – opening up this “special” marvel, it appeared to be more stew than enchilada. Chunks of leftover burger patty, ground beef and a couple mystery pieces of sirloin (maybe?) along with big chunks of carrots and other mysterious things.

It was like if I was in Romania and asked a roadside stew vendor to make me an enchilada out of their wagon.

The pork version was even more mysterious or “special” as it had a few pieces of what looked like pork, swimming inside a similar stew of ground beef, carrots and other bits. Zero Mexican flavor (no cumin, paprika, chili powder, I’m guessing).

Service was abysmal, but at least the person waiting on us was trying in their own way. 1 hour after people were eating, a sandwich was brought out to the last person in our party, who sat there waiting the entire time. We asked for things multiple times, drinks got empty.

Anyway, I digress – They do have casino machines here, so maybe the whole experience is meant to be a gamble?

The first time I went there, I had a French dip and it was really good. Half way through the first half of the sandwich there was a really long hair, I told the lady working and she was very apologetic took the food and offered to make me a new sandwich. She also paid for our drinks, she was awesome. Thought I’d give it another chance so went on a Sunday afternoon, it was a little busy but there were still seats at the bar so my boyfriend and I sat at the bar. There were 2 people working back there, neither of them even greeted us, and they avoided even looking at us. After 5-10 minutes of not even being acknowledged we just left, I won’t be trying smith’s again nor recommend it. I almost think bad service is worse than bad food

The servers here have customer blindness, they don’t see or acknowledge you even after you look them straight in the eye after being sat by them. It wasn’t busy so I gave grace thinking our server was having an off day which happens. After waiting to order (25 minutes), our food came quick but had no flavor, biscuits and gravy were bland and the gravy had a weird film that coated my breakfast and husband’s CFS was overcooked and tasted of old scorched deep fryer. Makes me sad but thought others should know that Smith’s food and service has declined significantly.
