Way better than KFC. The chicken was tender and juicy. French fries were really good. It was my first time trying not to do and I would definitely get it again. It’s really busy during the lunch rush but they get your food very quickly and it’s hot and fresh.

This is the best store I’ve tried all five of them. If you want chicken that’s fresh fried then head here. Havelock NC the best location.

You simply can’t beat North Carolina BBQ and Smithfield’s does it right! This location is easily accessible from the Food Lion Parking lot, HWY 70/Main Street and McCotter Blvd.
The staff is very friendly and efficient and the restroom is clean and orderly. Although it is a smaller location, it makes the vibe that much better. Be sure to get the value pack, with slaw, to truly get the NC BBQ flavor. Enjoy!

Playful kind of employees…. nobody wants to get ones order right! Ordered a 4 piece dark chicken meal, was give 2 legs and a small side of fries. I relied on them getting my meal correct the first time and they can’t even do it…. employees seem to be there for their paycheck, and not the customers satisfaction. I have to drive 20 min back to Smithfield’s location just to get my order right…. what kind of service is this….? Some knock off Mcds?

Big portion of barbecue on my plate. The guy who waited on us knew so much about ingredients, etc. Helped me to stick to my diet the best I could! Very helpful. I tasted Brian’s baked beans, (I usually only like the ones I cook), they were great! Definitely worth trying.
