Perfect quick stop! We grabbed the Tailgate Special to feed the family. The chicken was 10/10—crispy and juicy. Just a heads up that the coleslaw, potato salad, and tea are all on the very sweet side. Good prices and much better than standard fast food for a long drive.

Great spot for BBQ and chicken tenders sandwiches. Banana pudding is kinda MID but they give a good sized portion.

I enjoyed the food here. Good portions and everything tasted good. The service was excellent. It took 3 minutes to get our food and we were able to take our soda with us in to go cup. The atmosphere was comfortable and quite and the place was clean.

First time eating here. Was traveling and wanted to try something else. The bbq didn’t have a smokey flavor as I am use to the coleslaw and potato salad was decent. The bbq had a bland taste. The hushpuppies were delicious, probably the best part of the meal. The service was nice and polite.

Never been to this chain before. Didn’t know it was a chain, didn’t know it was a counter serve fast food style restaurant. Thought it was a sit down type.
My very food fussy friend really liked their chicken sandwich. It was really plain with just a bun, two pieces of white chicken breast lightly breaded and that was it, no sauce or cheese or anything else, but he liked it that way.
I got a pulled pork platter. The pulled pork was too spicy for me.

A typical Smithfield’s. This is a good spot to stop if you are traveling with an RV. We found plenty of parking in the adjacent lot.
What stood out was the very friendly staff. The food was as expected, and very good as Smithfield’s go. Had the “regular” BBQ platter with coleslaw and Brunswick stew. The meat was very lean for the most part and the cole slaw and Brunswick stew were good. Good size portions.
The bathrooms could have been cleaner.
This is on my list as a recommended stop for travelers.

This is a great place to get chicken tenders or some descent ‘Q while on the road. It’s also my new favorite place to grab a bite to go before charging the Tesla in the mall across the street! The staff has stereotypical southern patience and friendliness (I watched a cashier help an older woman taking more than 5+ minutes to decide on an order), the bathrooms are clean, and there’s plenty of places to sit in the cavernous dining room. We found the portion sizes large enough to share, and the meat high quality if a little light on the salt. It’s definitely designed to go along with one of the sauces for most people’s tastes. Definitely stopping here again on the next trip south.

If you don’t mind eastern North Carolina pulled pork barbecue, this place deliver! It’s clean, the prices are fair, the food is good. If you’re looking for homemade family style, you probably want to try something else. But for quick, tasty, easy and cheap, this place delivers,

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way back from Raleigh and it was amazing. The service, the food, the atmosphere, everything was a 10/10. Jennifer was also awesome and made sure that we had a good experience! Will definitely go back here!!

I came here for the 1st time on July 8th bc there are none of these chains where im from. I asked the difference between the shrimp plate and the large shrimp plate. The employee grabbed a to go container and explained to me its double shrimp. With a large shrimp plate she said the shrimp would fill up both the large sections of the to go plate. I said ok give me a large shrimp plate. This is what I recieved so not sure if this is right portion or not but if so it was definitely explained wrong bc why even give two plates this is pitiful. Looks like thrown together and an after thought.
