A note on wine: We appreciated the option to bring our own bottle with a reasonable P2,500 corkage fee, or have the fee waived by purchasing a bottle from their extensive list.
A few minor misses (like the Foie Gras), but the world-class beef makes this a worthwhile destination.
Overall Verdict: Highly recommended for steak lovers. The Boneless Ribeye is a must-order.
The lobster bisque, in particular, may well be one of the best in Manila.
We truly enjoyed our lunch and look forward to visiting again.
Special thanks to our server, Sev, for the attentive and thoughtful service.
We started with the Caesar Salad—rich, creamy, and exactly how I like it—and the Wollensky Salad, both well-executed. The Grilled Octopus was cooked perfectly, and the Lobster Bisque was flavorful and satisfying. A standout surprise was the Bone Marrow Dirty Rice—the first time I’ve tried this dish, and it was amazing (something I’d love to copy at home!).
Of course, the star of the evening was the USDA Prime 28-Day Dry-Aged Bone-In Ribeye—simply outstanding. For dessert, we indulged in their gigantic Chocolate Cake and the New York Cheesecake, both worth saving room for.
The ambiance strikes a nice balance between formal and relaxing, and the service was impeccable. Easily one of the top steak restaurants on my list.
We have a tradition of going to steak restaurants to celebrate and this year’s choice was one of the best.
Our order:
Wollensky Salad – 5/5
The bacon chunks were tender, juicy and not overly salty. It complimented the well dressed salad greens. The chunks of fried potato had a fluffy inside and crisp exterior.
28 day dry-aged bone-in rib eye – 5/5
It kinda looked small when they served it to us but this place is not meant for going all crazy with the food so It was okay. The steak was cooked to the perfect medium rare. Still red on the inside but not RAW and had the most perfect sear on the outside. May I suggest you try it with mustard and salt.
Sides:
Whipped potatoes 5/5 – creamy and smooth. Not for those who want texture. haha
Creamed spinach 4/5 – Runnier than most creamed spinach Ive tried before. Still the best complement to the steak and whipped potatoes.
(Maybe we should have gotten 1 wet and 1 not so wet side just for texture variations)
Gigantic Chocolate Cake: 5/5
ORDER IT! Must TRY! It’s huge but it’s not overly sweet. Take home the leftovers and you’ll be so glad you’re having it again the next day. haha
