Was working in the area, came for lunch. The lady at the front counter was polite and smiling, and the area was very clean. I had the vegetarian burger and fries. The burgers was huge and very flavorful, probably one of the best vegetarian burgers I’ve had. The fries were crispy and flavored wonderfully. To finish it off with the mandarin cardamom drink. Yum!

I had passed this place so many times, always thinking “one day.” Today, while my wife was doing some Christmas shopping, I stopped in with my kids—and I’m glad I did.
This is a perfect American burger. Real meat, juicy and flavorful. Real cheese, melted just right. Fresh vegetables that actually taste fresh. Everything feels honest and well done. I ordered the Classic, and it delivers exactly what a great burger should: simple, balanced, and deeply satisfying.
The fries deserve special mention—crispy, well-seasoned, and finished with rosemary. That small touch makes a big difference and leaves a lasting impression.
It was one of those meals that quietly makes you happy. No hype, no exaggeration—just really good food. Highly recommended.

Placed an online order that advised the order would be ready about 7:22pm got there at 7:25 and left about 7:45ish one of my burgers was wrong. I wasn’t able to order a shake. I did request extra pickles and got none at all as the wrong burger was given to me. Food was warm not hot.

Everytime we visit this location, the customer service is always first-rate. We are immediately acknowledged and politely engaged with. The establishment is always clean and tidy. Even more so, the food served is consistently delicious and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this location.

The woman at the register was very nice, but overstretched for an evening dinner time. The guy working in the back was definitely stressed out, yelled that he was about to quit and walk out when he was being pressed for some items.
I was scrolling my phone at one of the tables, but I heard them arguing over my order and I wanted to tell them not to stress over my fries. Was genuinely sad that they were so stressed out. Granted there were customers riding them a bit.
The food: I got home and unwrapped the burgers, they were slopped full of so much mayonnaise, like an unreasonable amount. Very greasy- dripping.

This review is being written as a followup to a review I published on the Broadway & Alvernon store #1800. If you reference that review ( Broadway & Alvernon ) you will read about the issue we encountered with the staff on 12/31/25. The owner of the store who also owns this store ( Oro Valley ) was quick to reach out to us and let us know that the conduct that was displayed at the Broadway store was not acceptable not policy or how staff is trained. In addition to an investigation into this problem at Broadway store he offered to comp a meal at the Oro Valley location. We accepted and on 1/11/2026 we visited the store. Staff greeted us on arrival and after a brief encounter with the manager we were served fresh American Classic Smash Burgers, hot and fresh tater tots, and a side of chili along with the customary drinks. The staff had no idea who we were when we entered but the greeting was warm and friendly in fact everybody that entered the store was greeted in a like manner while we dined. I didn’t write the Broadway review to receive a comped meal ( however it was appreciated and thoughtful ) but to point out the experience that we received at the Broadway store and to hope some changes could be made for the benefit of other customers. Oro Valley was friendly, respectful, and the food was great !

I don’t get how this place is still in business. This is the first and last time I’ll ever eat at Smashburger.
My boyfriend and I ordered pickup and got there within 15 minutes. Two burgers, chicken tenders, fries and onion rings. Our food was lukewarm at best when we arrived. Got it home and our chicken tenders were COVERED in a gritty black substance like you get at the bottom of a dirty fryer. The container had almost an ounce of PURE OIL at the bottom. They were completely inedible.
Also both burgers were SOAKING wet (not from sauce, from steam I guess????) and mine was made incorrectly – missing toppings I ordered.
The ranch and blue cheese cups were also only half full…
We tried to reach out to customer service and no one answered the corporate number. You can’t submit a support ticket online without a store number … which we couldn’t find ANYWHERE online or on the receipt we received. The “help” page on the app leads to a 404. It’s almost like they know the food is trash and don’t want to hear about it.
Absolutely so frustrating – unacceptable food and unacceptable customer service.

This place has the best burgers in Oro Valley. Definitely better than it used to be and less expensive. Look for a coupon code online. The only bad thing is they won’t customize your burger. You can ask for toppings on the side though!

Went to Smashburger in OV for the first time with my husband and I was extremely impressed. When we got there, we ordered our food, but the cash register was experiencing issues. Completely calm and respectful, the gentleman who was making our food was calmly handling the food and the issue at the same time flawlessly. He managed to make our food, reboot the computer, and calmly and respectfully walked the cashier through the troubleshooting process. Within 20 minutes we were out of there and it was a pleasant experience regardless of the wait. I want to say that I was very impressed with the workers there. This is the best display of management I have ever seen. The man never got angry, frustrated, or snappy. It was incredible. Kudos to the people working at this establishment yesterday 8/25/2025. Plus, the food was really good and the banana shake is dangerous in the best way.
