I feel bad giving this place 1 star as the establishment Itself wasn’t too bad. The venue was decent and it looked presentable and clean for a burger joint. The awful part happened to be the burgers. I tried my burger and my friends burger and both were extremely greasy. After taking each bite I would have to sit the burger down and use a napkin to rid my fingers of nasty grease. I have read reviews in which Smashburger is praised for how greasy their food is so this review is subjective however I will not be subjected to their food again. I like a burger that has flavor and is moist however grease dripping from between the buns isn’t appetizing. Some things in life are good when they are a little greasy such as pizza and bacon but this burger had so much grease it made my stomach hurt after eating half, which is where I made a good decision and stopped eating it. I am not one to write reviews and while I can critique food I almost certainly will eat just about anything but never again for Smashburger.

My friends and I visit often. The food is pretty good and so are the shakes. They also have Ale8 on tap, which is a big draw for me. A friend of mine has to eat gluten free food and they offer a bun that fits that requirement. He says they’re pretty good too. I would be giving them 5 stars if not for the fact that my order is always incorrect when I carryout but only when ordering carryout.

I give four stars because the staff was awesome. One member overheard my son saying that he didn’t like honey mustard. The staff member came to our table and asked what else he could bring. Burgers are good, but I’m not sure it’s worth the price.

Burgers were decent, fries were cold and took 30+ minutes for food to arrive. Looked short staffed. 75% of tables were covered in garbage. People in line behind us actually fell asleep waiting for their food. I’ve been to Smash at my hometown in VA and it’s never been so awful. When we left line was 10+ people long. Had 1 person doing register, table cleaning (or lack of), making milkshakes, and delievering orders.

My daughter and I are Smashburger fans, but tonight we were beyond disappointed. We had our food to go so when we got home we were ready to “smash” unfortunately our burgers were salted way to much they burnt our tongues, you couldn’t even taste any flavor but salt. This was by far my worst experience here. Cook definitely needs to be retrained, the presentation of the burger was horrible as well.

Ashley waited on us and Elijah took care of us too! Food is made to order, so always hot and fresh and good. The smash fries are amazing and like no others anywhere …. I don’t eat red meat so always get the chickecn, but order with the normal bun as the wheat buns are not that great …. but from the time we got there til we left, Ashley and Elijah were great hostess and host to us. Made the experience memorable and we will be back.

FIrst time at Smashburger, went there before the UK game, the service was fast even with a lot of other fans were coming in to eat before the game, I was guess I was comparing the place to 5 guys , The set up is nicer and the fact that they actually bring your food to the table is a step up from that restaurant. I had a cheese burger and fried peppers. My son had the bean burger and fries. The burgers were good and the fries good also, overall there was nothing that made the lunch memorable, at 10 bucks for a burger and fries ( we drank water ) it has the same price as most sit down places.

GREAT burgers! but they are so big! I can never eat a whole one, so it’s like getting two meals, I cut mine in half before I even start and take the rest home for lunch the next day. Sweet potato fries – YUM!

Burgers there tend to be large and quite messy which isn’t a problem I just figured I should counter the “not enough food” reviews on here. The burgers are pretty consistently good but the fries are a bit weak in my opinion. Service there is always been pretty stellar as well. Can be a tad pricey particularly for poor college kids (and poor college adults).
