Disappointed in this one, I was. Ordered the Deluxe Chicken Smashburger, expecting a flavorful bite worthy of a traveler in need of fuel. Instead, the sandwich arrived looking a bit… weary from its journey. The flavors didn’t quite rise to the occasion, leaving this Jedi master wishing the Force had been stronger with that chicken patty.

But fear not — redemption came in the form of the tots. Golden, crispy, and seasoned just right, they were little spheres of hope in an otherwise lackluster meal. Truly fantastic, those were.

With limited quick-food options in this terminal, Smashburger still serves its purpose — but choose wisely, hungry traveler. The path to satisfaction here may lie more with the sides than the sandwich.

Nice people – but expectations were low relative to airport smash locations AND they exceeded even lower. Not sure how they accomplished not warm and overcooked – but they did.

Unfortunately, this was a very poor experience. From the start, the place had only one person working, which caused extremely long delays in preparing orders. To make it worse, they served orders from people who arrived after us first, even when those orders were larger.

This location is inside an airport, where people are on a tight schedule, and delays like this can easily mean missing a flight. This level of disorganization is unacceptable in an airport setting.

On top of that, after taking and charging us for the order, we were told that they could not serve the milkshakes because the employee was alone and the kitchen was dirty. No refund was offered, nor any proper solution.

I understand staffing issues happen, but you should never charge for items you can’t serve, especially in an airport. Very poor service. Not recommended.

I ordered a burger with no cheese. I waited 20min. Took it back to my gate and they made it with cheese. If you want a chance to eat before your flight and have a dietary restriction of any kind I recommend you avoid this restaurant. I was thankful they were able to refund me before my flight, but I would have liked to have eaten.

Staff here suck. Zero sense of urgency. Do not go here if you have less than 2 hours to catch a flight. It is an absolute clown show. The crew at 7pm on feb 19 need to be reviewed.

I ordered a meal here and it was very hot and fresh. I enjoyed the meal. The cashier was friendly.

I went back up to order a milk shake right before my flight and the cashier walked up, greeted me, and then proceeded to walk away to help two other customers after already engaging me.

Once they took my order I waited 20 minutes for a milk shake because the staff forgot my order. I had to remind them. They almost mistakenly made it vanilla when I ordered chocolate and I had to correct them as they were making it. I was the only order being made and the staff member stopped several times to have conversations with people further delaying the order. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but the worker who made the milk shake proceeded to grab a spoon by the head side (the part one places in their mouth) with their bare hands and put it inside the milkshake which is just really gross. I was worried about missing my flight and was overall annoyed by how the employees hardly made the order a priority. I just felt like I was ignored most of the experience.

Stopped at Smash Burger in the Louisville airport and ordered the classic single smash burger. The smash sauce has a mayo-mustard base and added a nice tang to the juicy, flavorful patty.

The burger came out hot and fresh, and honestly tasted great—but I had to wait about 20 minutes. My order was cooked out of sequence, and a few numbers after me were served first. Thankfully, the manager stepped in and reminded the team to follow the order queue. The only other thing: the patty didn’t quite fill the bun. While I don’t think I got shorted on the portion, the uneven look might give that impression. Still, the taste made up for it, and I’d definitely eat here again.

Ordered 2 burgers, 2 drinks, 1 tot and 1 fry. Gave me the food, opened the bag, no fries. Went back up, the worker literally acted like I was lying, gave me an odd look and said, “Im pretty sure I put the fries in”. Walked back, grabbed the bag to show her there were no fries. She then didnt need to look into the bag to verify she forgot. The icing on the cake is she had the audacity to tell me not to give her attitude after she acted like I was lying about a 3 dollar fry.

Food was good as always, 1 star for the side of disrespect I was served.

This location is located inside the airport past security by the gates. The day that I went there was system issues with their register and it took quite a long time to order. This was beyond the workers control. Other than that I felt the service was pretty good. They give you a number at the end of the receipt when you are picking up. There was a slight mishab in another customer who took my order, so mine had to be remade. That did cause some delays but it happens. Other than that the food was good.

I always thought this chain was a bit more elevated than your typical McDonalds but boy was I wrong. I got a classic smashbuger and smash tots. And I’m hoping it was just the low quality work of this particular location. The burger bun itself was soggy, crushed in and not even stacked right. So it came to me slanted when I opened it. More than half the tots were not covered in the rosemary seasoning as advertised so it was just like regular tots. Hopefully I didn’t get charged more for the special tots. Last thing, is the tots were dripping with so much oil that you could see a pool at the bottom of the container. Please, if you are frying things, then let it sit outside the frying oil for a bit before you place it in any container. The food is not supposed to be soaking wet.
