Burgers are amazing. Beef fat fries, perfect. Such a rare delicacy! Sweet potato waffle fries were good. Suggestion from the wife: cut them thicker out cook them a little less.

Malts very good as well. Love it! Can’t wait to go back!

Awesome smash burgers! We got fries and burgers and ate at Boxing Bear. Smash burgers were cooked perfectly and all the toppings and sauces were on point. The fries were excellent – I’ve never actually seen these potato chip shaped cuts before but they were crispy and the red chili was spicy, yum! Would definitely order again!

The line was long on a Saturday since it’s a new spot, but it’s worth the wait! Service was fast and friendly (about 10 minutes after ordering, we received our food). And food was hot and crispy when it was ready. Prices are very reasonable.

Excited to have a smash burger in this area!

1/22/26- this is our second time at this resturant. The restaurant was clean and well kept. The staff was friendly, attentive, and professional. The food was outstanding. The best smash burger I have had in albuquerque by far. The photo is of a double cheeseburger with green chili. The order took about ten minutes to make it to our table. I would highly recommend this restaurant and it is a great addition to Bridges!

I ordered the S.O.B and made it a deluxe on a glutenfree bun. It was juicy and delicious. My dad ordered thw champagne it was just as juicy. The fries were yummy and so were the onion rings. Photo doesn’t do the food justice.

Tried this place out since it was replacing the Thai restaurant from the same owner.

NAH SON! Overall, I didn’t really care for the place. The burgers and their weird/unique potato chip style fries weren’t that bad. A solid ‘B’ grade for taste. HOWEVER, the value for what you get isn’t good. That’s a single burger patty with their ‘regular’ drink (small) and fries came out to almost $20. The drink was small in one of those little cups a place give you if you want free water. The bottom fries were in a pool of liquid. …and simply, just the presentation of the food is horrible. Just look at the picture. They’re just sloppily plopping down the ‘sauce’ down on the bun like that? C’mon man. They also didn’t offer any combination meals to make things easy. One has to piece meal the whole thing together. Thanks for making me work when I just want to stuff my face.

With it being a ‘new’ burger joint in town, the owner did nothing or close to nothing to the inside to change the appearance from the old Thai place. You can see the ‘cost cutting/savings’ from the re-used serving trays, the cheap plastic cups, the low budget paper serving baskets. Not impressed at all with the ‘NEW’ place. Despite the taste of the food, my money, your money will be best served at a better place.

I called in three orders for me and a few coworkers. When I came in, they verified all the orders, but forgot my shakes. They made them and I left. When I got back to work, they had completely forgotten one of the orders. I went back, and was given the original order. No offer to remake the order was made, despite the fact that it had been sitting for 20+ minutes. When I returned to my lunch, I found that the double I ordered was only a single, and I paid $3.75 for 8 French fries. The fries tasted good enough, but at almost $.50 a fry, nowhere near a bargain. The burger was fairly flavorless, despite the Champ sauce. I don’t see a repeat visit in my future.

Pretty good burgers and shakes. Beef fat fries are fries fried in beef tallow. If you don’t want that you can have them fried in oil.

Freddy’s > Smash Shake

No frills burger joint. Five choices of burgers available in either single or double patty. Burgers are good. Burger toppings (lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion) are extra.
Fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings are sold a la carte. The fries are home style wedges. The fries and onion rings are only OK at best. Could definitely use a little seasoning.
Shakes are made with malt. Only ok, and made from a powder based ice cream machine.

$42 after tax & tip:
-Burqueno burger (double)
-Smashed Onion Burger (SOB)
-Onion Rings
-Fries
-Vanilla Shake
-Chocolate shake

Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday. Service was quick, the fries were good, and the burgers were really good!! We got the green chile burger and a rojo burger. Both were tasty with quality toppings and bun. Best of all, prices are very reasonable! We are excited to have a new burger place in the neighborhood and will definitely be back.

The food was just okay. I might go again if it’s not crowded, but there are better burger places nearby.

Sides: The side portions were small. We got five onion rings, which comes out to a dollar per ring. The onions were too mild and not very juicy. The fries were an interesting cut – thick discs – but they had been cooked too long, so were crispy all the way through. Taste was okay but nothing special, even though we got them fried in beef tallow. They had run out of ketchup. I told the person working the counter. He just shrugged.

Burgers: They were cooked medium rare in the middle. Even medium is unusual for smash burgers. As a result, they did not get the good char on the edges. My son got the Classic, which he said was fine but nothing special. I got the Rojo, which had red chili. It lacked the earthy flavor I expect of red chili – it tasted more like a green chili burger. There are much better red chili burgers in town.

Shakes: Again, these were okay but nothing special. They have a machine like a soft serve dispenser, and they add chocolate or strawberry syrup for flavoring. They also add malted milk powder, which is a nice touch.

It hasn’t been open long, so it got pretty crowded. When we got there, there was one person ordering in front of us, and about 3/4 of the tables were filled. It still took 35 minutes from after our order was placed until we got our food. Some people got drinks right away; others (like us) had to wait until our food order was ready.

Shortly after we arrived, the line was to the door and people were standing in the hall leading to the bathrooms while waiting for their orders.

Sometimes there was a person staffing the register, other times (like when we arrived) you ordered from a kiosk. The one person in front of us took forever to order a single burger from the kiosk (I was faster ordering two burgers, two sides, and two shakes).

The eating area is not that big. The door goes right to the outside (not an airlock entry). It was cold outside, which meant it was cold inside, especially with people holding the door open.
