My photos speak for themselves! This is our first time, but judging by the flavors I’ll bet everything is amazing. The crust is soooo fresh. It isn’t chewy at all, it feels like they literally use the best ingredients available. One nice touch was the light sprinkling of Parmesan over the entire pizza.
This last remark is not a bad thing, just wanted to mention to the others, there is no fountain pop, only pop by the can, but I was able to get a glass with ice. **this did not bother me** I don’t know if that is a permanent thing I didn’t clarify.
I saw on the menu a bread plate, I’d really like to go back and try that judging by how amazing the crust was on the pizza.

Delicious Sicilian and New York style pizza. The pizza was crunchy and held well. We got the classic Sicilian square cheese pizza which was crisp and saucy in each bite. The New York style was the mushroom also delicious, savory and light with a nice crisp kale adding some extra flavor. Pizza is definitely on the pricier side but worth each bite.

Okay. First time coming in and the place definitely looked amazing if a bit dark. The food definitely was the show here. The wild mushroom pizza was fantastic, the light crunchyness of the kale was definitely interesting. The flavor of the “Bee Sting” was so great, but I was hoping the hot honey to be spicier. Bonus for being able to see into the kitchen seeing them make the pizza was great. The amount of becking cats was a bit much IMO.

definitely a 5/5!!!
the only “con” is the wait (depending when you go) but it’s honestly worth it! hoping they’ll expand to a bigger place. but it’s totally understandable on the long wait… been here three times (to go & finally dine in). the reviews on the bread plate are 100% right — it’s a must! will be coming back again!

First time here and would most definitely come back. We split The New York State of Mind with half red pepper and without. They split it perfectly unlike many other restaurants. The pizza crust had just the right amount of crispiness on the bottom and outer edges with a soft inside edge. The red pepper wasn’t overpowering and allowed the spiciness of the pepperoni n sausage to come through. I really wanted a 3rd piece but didn’t want to be too full. Most bread is just bread to me but this bread plate was something else. Between myself and my bread loving wife we each ate a slice of the 3 different types. Then I wanted more but needed to save room for the pizza.

We recently moved to the QC from Phoenix. I’m from the area, so I’m a big fan of QC style pizza. However, my husband (not from here) is not. Now we have the perfect compromise! He said Smash is the BEST pizza he’s ever had, hands down! I do have a fav place in Az, but Smash is giving them a run for their money! Also, Aly is AMAZING – fast service with a smile, she’s like a friend you’ve known forever who gives you the special “insider” treatment – even though she makes everyone feel this way. They are the trifecta – food, service, atmosphere; chef’s kiss! We will now be the newest addition of “regulars” to Smash…bravo!

Best Pizza in the Quad Cities!
If you’re looking for a thin crust New York style pizza or Sicilian style pizza, this is the place you need to try.
Menu items pictured in post includes pizzas New York State of Mind, Bee Sting, Elote and Rosted Wild Mushrooms & Fried Kale.
Establishment is small but super cozy and lively. Service is better than most Places You’ll Find in the Quad Cities. Thank you Mo for creating such an awesome environment with great service. Some might say the prices are a little high but the price reflects the quality and taste of the food. Portion sizes are very generous.
Parking is a bit Limited, restrooms are extremely clean and overall establishment is very Lively and cozy. This is my first time eating here and I have to go back to try the Sicilian style pizza according to Mo. I’ll be back in a few weeks.
Updating my previous post now that I got the opportunity to try the Sicilian style pizza. Now having the Sicilian style pizza this place has cemented for me the best pizza in the Quad Cities. As an FYI to anyone reading, I would highly recommend getting there early or calling ahead to order for pickup the sicilian-style pizza as he only makes so many per day until he runs out which is typically very quickly. Probably one of the better Sicilian style pizzas I’ve had and whatever the crust consists of, I was happy that I could eat the majority of the pizza and not feel bloated or gut rot like you do with other crusts. Pictures are attached of the takeout that I ordered which consists of sausage and mushroom. Definitely five stars on this pizza.

Been here multiple times. Every time great! My new favorite casual restaurant.
Authentic pizza. We have the New York style crust which was excellent. The roasted mushrooms and garlic spinach were superb. Best pizza in the Quad cities unless of course you like the QC style cheese abundance.
Now FRESH house made pasta too. We had the rigatoni special last week and the pesto this week. Both we loved.
BEST BURGER IN IOWA!!! Wonderful fries, homemade bun, perfectly smashed burger and cheeses. To die for sauce.
The meatball sub special was also fantastic.

Unfortunately the pizza was cold when I picked it up using the timeframe they quoted. Crust tasted stale. Salad was just a ton of lettuce and barely anything else. Quite disappointed.
edit: I did not contact the restaurant as there was not a problem. The food just wasn’t good, especially for the price. Hopefully you find the feedback helpful.

This was our first time experiencing Smash! We went on a Friday for a late lunch. We had been told to arrive prior to the dinner rush if we expected to order the Sicilian style pizza. I have to say… we have been corrupted! It was amazing. They only make 35 per day, so get there early! FOH manager was amazing. She made us the best cocktails, and we had great conversation. This is a small neighborhood pizzeria and pride themselves on their spectacular small menu. Chef food is amazing, and you MUST be patient and understanding of the small establishment. Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed! We also grabbed a loaf of sourdough bread and can’t wait to dig into it! Thank you, Mo & Chef Brian, for such a beautiful and delicious pizzeria!
