This was our first time trying Brunch Service, and wont be our last, will definitely bring other family members next time. The portion sizes are very large, fresh and served hot. We ordered the Mini French toast for an appetizer and it almost filled us up, but we still enjoyed our entrees of the Egger & Cheese sandwich and the BBQ Brisket Hash. The ending was a complete surprise as we were given 3 donuts with a sparkler, as I had mentioned during the reservations that we were celebrating our 9th anniversary and wasn’t expecting that at all. Was a lovely surprise to end our meal.

We came pretty often and the recent visit was valentines night. We chose the set menu. I enjoyed the fish very much. It is a good idea to have a set menu more often so we don’t have to spend too much time studying the menu. I really enjoyed the service there. I recommend this restaurant

You got to order the French Toast if you have a breakfast or brunch sweet tooth, the dish wont disappoint!
The food was well presented, larger portions and tasted unique and delicious. Prices can be on the higher side but the quality of the food and servicing sizes makes up for that.
Service was attentive but I always worry a little when the gratuity is automatically added to the bill for larger parties. I get that it’s more work and definately harder to service but it’s also slippery slope to servers ignoring the table (which I should make clear never happened at the restaurant). It’s a point of caution and something to be aware of.
Though I server did forget a few things we did ask for but very quickly brought them to the table when reminded. I suspect they had a few more tables to attend to that morning than expected.
Overall solid brunch experience and recommend you try this dinning spot that’s at little off the beaten path in Markham, Unionville. Happy Brunching!

The food was amazing! We hosted our holiday party here, and everyone loved both the food and the drinks. They offer halal and vegetarian options, which made it easy to accommodate everyone’s preferences. There’s also plenty of parking, which was a big plus.
The service was great, and as the organizer, I’m really glad I chose Smash Kitchen. I look forward to hosting more events with them. One small suggestion would be to enhance the visual experience, but overall it was a wonderful experience and I’d definitely recommend them.

The burger is a must-try! The patty is incredibly juicy and flavorful — absolutely delicious. As for the appetizers, the calamari tasted good but wasn’t hot enough when served.
I went on a Monday, and all appetizers were only $13, which is an amazing deal. Plus, no corkage fee, which is a huge bonus. Great value overall, and the juicy burger alone makes it worth coming back!

This is a modern take on Southern American cuisine. The best dish was definitely the beef brisket hush puppies – absolutely delicious. Surprisingly, the mac & cheese came in second. I used to think I didn’t like mac & cheese, but turns out I just hadn’t tried a good one before.
The crab roe and shrimp scrambled egg toast was also very creative. If you’re a fan of carbs, this is a must-order. The French toast can be shared as a dessert – a great choice. The coffee is excellent and a must-try, and surprisingly, they have a wide variety of teas too.
Overall, the prices are reasonable, service is very attentive, and the wine and cocktail list is extensive. This is actually a great spot for family gatherings – enjoyable for both young and old.

Warm and inviting, just the perfect place to have brunch in Winter (and watch the snowfall in comfort).

This is my go to recommendation when folks in the Markham/Richmond Hill area ask for a nice place to dine.
I have been multiple times and never been disappointed. It seems to be run very much like a family business. Service has always been impeccable.
This week I dropped in on a Monday and it was $12 apps! Favourite was the chicken croquettes. Like arancini but with chicken inside. The ribs were good but I wouldn’t pay the full $24 regular price for a portion that size. Same goes for that fun pink drink I had. Not sure I’d pay $15 to have it again. But some folks priorities are different. I’d rather eat my money than drink it.
Love how unassuming the place is tucked back in the corner of the plaza but once inside is spacious and well appointed. Truly flummoxed at the reviews that can possibly be giving lower than 5 stars.

Great spot. Never disappointed. Amazing food, great service, medium pricing. You could go $35 per person food and drink. Nice atmosphere, definitely would visit again.

Went last night for the first time. And honestly was shocked how good it was. Staff was lovely, friendly chatty but not overbearing. Food was so good and portions size large, even the kids meal was a good size. The hot honey chicken and the California club taste amazing.
