Welcome to SMART’WICH! It’s more than a sandwich, its a SMART’WICH! Our Chef was born in Italy,grew up in NY,lived in Lisbon,now back in NY! Based on good healthy eats,our smart’wiches are served on handmade Portuguese bread. We’ve substituted fatty condiments with olive oil base sauces and yogurt base sauces which accompany some of our favorites;like roasted chicken and roast beef.We serve the best breakfast smart’wiches! Are you vegetarian or vegan?Try our vegetables carpaccio Crudo. Also, homemade pickled Portuguese sardines and marinated Portuguese Octopus smart’wiches are our alternative choices for those more adventurous palates! We are located inside Francesco’s Bakery and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner! WE CATER!

A fantastic sandwich shop right inside Francesco’s Bakery! Chef Mike has concocted several mouth watering masterpieces. Obviously a master of his craft, these sandwiches are really a work of art. All being made fresh for your enjoyment. The only thing more pleasurable was speaking to Mike himself and learning about his extensive knowledge and experience with food around the world. As soon as you walk into the sandwich shop you’re gonna get an amazing greeting from Chef G… Super friendly and filled with excitement… When you go there or if you’ve already been there then you’ll understand… I’ve been there on several occasions, and once with my son… We were totally amazed by the quality and freshness of his products… The selection of sandwiches that they make, and the total experience that the sandwiches brings to you… First time I was there with my son we ate there and couldn’t believe the taste of these high-quality products… Second time around, I came by myself, and I got the octopus sandwich and the sardine sandwich… Freaking fabulous is all I have to say… Everything is super high-quality, and super fresh… You can’t miss this place folks… Truly an experience… Can’t wait to go back…

Super friendly, best Chef Guerrieri made a tuna Smartwich and turkey Smartwich with a 6 egg tarts. Super informative and friendly, and for the foremost, the sandwiches are fantastic. Especially the yogurt sauce on Turkey is amazingly great with the home-made sauerkraut. Tuna Sandwich is the best tuna sandwich I’ve ever had. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends and you should definitely go right away before this pop-up restaurant closes.

Chef Micheal was absolutely amazing. He is full of personality and passion for what he does. The food was greatness to say the least. Tuna was light and refreshing, octopus tasted like a Mediterranean party, sausage would be a go to for me at breakfast time. I usually like sweet tea but his Basil leaf Tea needed nothing added. Everything was made with high quality ingredient. Just make sure you leave room for desert. The Pastel De Nata was Heavenly.

I had the crudo and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The bread was to die for, the perfect crispness. As a vegan I have a hard time finding food that is delicious and vegan friendly. Well smartwich did not disappoint. The man working the counter I believe the owner, was so sweet. He even walked my sandwich to my car since my kids were there waiting. That’s true service in my book. The octopus sandwich looks really good. I might have to try it just once.

I absolutely love Smartwich! Chef Michael has an amazing personality. He is so sweet, energetic and his happiness is so contagious! His personality carries over into his love for his Smartwichs. The bread is crunchy on the outside and perfect on the inside. The ingredients are the best, whether it is the sausage, eggs, roast beef, chicken, sardines or octopus. The taste combination of all of the ingredients just puts the whole sandwich over the top!
