Excellent saloon with wooden decor and solid burgers. We split a cowboy burger, and the kitchen plates it separately for us. We also did an order of the cheese curds with spicy ketchup! Very big hit – they’re super fresh and the spicy ketchup had a nice tang. They also keep the local brewery on tap, so you’re able to enjoy Highway 20!
Ended up being a great stopover before we arrive in Galena, IL and we’re about to charge our EV within walking distance.

Stopped here on our way out to Galena for a buddies golf trip and it was perfect! I have been driving through Elizabeth for years while visiting the territories, but have never given this place a shot and I’m so glad I did because it will now be a repeat. I called ahead the day before to make sure they could seat 11 of us and they had no issues. Service was great and food came out extremely quick for a large party. They rave about their burgers and it was definitely one of the better ones I’ve had lately, cooked well, more of a thicker pub style and was full of flavor!
This is the exact type of vibe you look for in a small town bar, I would highly recommend stopping in if you’re driving through Elizabeth. You won’t be disappointed!

I had the fish sandwich the first time around which was fine. Second time after reading reviews I had the woody woodbine burger. This burger did not disappoint. I’m usually a snob for my own burgers. This is one of the only times I have been satisfied by another burger. I was in town working but I’m going to take my wife there just to have another burger and take in the beauty of small town Elizabeth. Excellent food and service!!!

Great downtown bar with amazing food. Thick hand pattied burgers cooked to perfection. Our group also got the lunch special. It was meatloaf. Everyone said it was incredible. A group of 12, and the waitress took our whole order without writing anything down. Everything came out quickly, and together. 100% accurate. We were very impressed. Stopped in here on our way back to Chicago from Galena to watch the superbowl. Burger was ridiculously good. Cheese curds and local beef were delicious. Classic sports pub with a warm vibe and a pool table as a bonus. Will be coming back!

This place was incredible. The food was well worth the price in portion size and taste. The staff was warm and friendly. The atmosphere is very old saloon style. This just became my regular haunt for restaurants. I can’t believe that it cost less than a McDonald’s trip for twice the food.
