I ordered take out from here because I heard great things about this place. The restaurant is very cute with outdoor seating.
Food
Chicken tenders: Great
Cheeseburger: Decent (you have to add lettuce and etc to your burger)
Fries: Good (garlic aioli was good)
Oreo shake: Good
Chocolate shake: Was secretly hoping it would taste like an In & Out shake
The pick up process was easy. I’d definitely try the burgers again.

I wanted to give them a fair shake after seeing the rather middling reviews. The interior is nice, and not at all as small as other reviews had led me to believe, especially for a restaurant in a downtown spot.
I stopped by in the early afternoon, food was ready within 10 minutes.
I ordered the double cheeseburger, fries, a rootbeer, and an espresso shake. The meat had a hearty flavor and chew to it without feeling heavy or greasy. The bun was pillowy and a bit chewy. The fries were good and paired well with the aioli. I would say that the ratio of salt has been improved based on other reviews. Even though the fries are a bit on the paler side, that does not detract from their flavor and fluffiness. Rootbeer is Sprechers on tap, so no complaints there. The espresso shake wasn’t super sweet and was creamy.

We arrived with high expectations. After watching the huge crowds all summers, this must be a great experience, right? We visited on a Sunday afternoon around 3:15pm so there was no wait and the seating was abundant. We told the server behind the counter that this was our first visit and he pleasantly gave us time to take it all in. We realized we had to order at the counter and find seating. The buzzer we received upon ordering buzzed 10 minutes later to let us know our food was ready. We had the privilege of retrieving our order if we wanted to eat, despite the generous tip we left. (To the contrary, Culver’s doesn’t offer tipping but delivers your food to your table.) When we were done, we also had the privilege of bussing our own table. The small staff was polite, the facility was clean, the ambience consisted of several framed 8×10’ B&W photos on shelves of old hamburger joints. The $75 we paid for three of us to each get a cheeseburger, one order of fries, 2 shakes, and a beer was nowhere near the value of the meal. The burgers were “ok”: not steamrolled like at McDonald’s but not meaty or substantial. And for ~$10/burger, that’s all you get (+ lettuce, tomatoes, special sauce, and a few pickles on a bun) in a cardboard box. The fries lacked any salt and were mediocre in taste at best. The shakes were “frothy”, like the foam at the corner of a dog’s mouth frothy: lots of air, less ice cream. One’s straw quickly falls to the side of the cup in this shake. Shakes from Homer’s, Culver’s, and Graeter’s are 100 times better. There is no plate, side salad, real utensils. Plenty of plastic utensils, paper napkins, and single-serve condiments, that is if you ask for them. Surprisingly, there was only one large “Trash” receptacle, with no “Recycling” option. Five Guys is a better value and uses fresher ingredients. Small Cheval was a very disappointing. We gave it a try and will now be dining elsewhere. We miss you Depot Nuevo.

Heard great things about this place, but it was a huge disappointment. $40 for cold, dry undercooked fries with no flavor. Burger that had gristle and chicken sandwich which was so salty like eating straight salt that I couldn’t even finish it. The buns were also hard and stale. There was no redeeming quality in this meal. Culver’s is way better in freshness, flavor and half the cost.

The great attraction for this restaurant is the gluten free options and attention to gluten free orders. The chicken tenders were crisp and moist – very good. The burgers are average and the fries are good but a bit salty. There is a $4.00 restaurant ‘operation fee’ which I’m happy to pay of it improves operations; in this instance the $12.00 worth of cheese sauce was not provided in the order. I’d like to say it was because they were busy but they were not. HOWEVER when I contacted the restaurant to let them know of the missing items they generously made it right by providing a refund. Above expectations! If you need gluten free this is a good option for traditional burgers and fries and delicious chicken tenders.

Just opened a week ago and they are running smoothly. There was a line out the door but we got to order in 12 minutes due to good efficiency of ordering. Counter food pickup is quick. Patio is gorgeous. Courteous staff. Burgers, FRIED CHICKEN, fries and cheese sauce, milk shake, coffee toffee concrete, whiskey sour were fantastic. Adults and kids were very happy.

Came here on a Sunday evening with another couple. Small inside dining area( 5 or 6 tables max). We had a table no problem. Walked up and ordered basically burgers, fries, chicken tenders, milkshakes, and beer. That’s the menus. I ordered double cheeseburger fries and oreo cookie milkshake. Received a buzzer and sat down. 10 minutes later we were buzzed. All the food was great and delicious. Loved the chicken tenders the best! Definitely would come back again.

My expectations were too high. The double cheeseburger is great but I’ll have to try it again. However, at this price point I was wowed by Boba Burger and Red Hot Ranch consistently…
