2016: a little $$, but worth it. Great burger. Even better custard. Highly recommended.
Update 8/2020: took food to go. Fries were a bit over cooked, like it was less than new oil too. Burger was amazing; I should have skipped the fries and had a second burger.
Seasoned fries were ok, but not special enough to get them again IMHO.
Custard is always worth coming back for.
Did ask for EXTRA ketchup, but only got one cup per fry. Bummer.

While on vacation, my daughter and I decided to try this recommended burger joint. With the current conditions and virus, we had it delivered, so I’m not able to review the facility. Smacks has a great list of burgers to choose from. We ordered the BEC burger, kids cheeseburger, garlic fries, and a regular order of fries. The burgers were good for being fast food, thus why I’m giving it 4 stars. I’m not quite sure if it was because of the delivery time or the fries just were a little over cooked, but I would only give the fries 2 stars. Overall, I will be trying this place in person on my next trip to Siesta!

Smacks has a great menu. Most items are different from what you would see normally. They allow the group Sarasota Rocks to meet and paint rocks for the kindness movement every Tuesday at 7pm. The watermelon drink is really good.

You know how delightful it can be when someone takes a classic food and shakes it up with bursts of new flavor? That’s Smacks. The burgers were a delight. The shakes were delectable. The Bomb-ay Fries, seasoned with Madras curry and served with spicy ginger cinnamon aioli: seriously yummy.

Ok, not very impressed by the vibe here… the music is really good actually the service is meh, order two doble cheese with angus beef and waited like 7 minutes, the parmesan and herbs from burgerfi are wayyyy better much better than these but these are amazing fries like regular just the classic way never order again the parmesan and herbs, now im gonna describe you how amazing and delicious juicy spicy salty sweet and flavorful are these burgers if i could give them 100 stars i will omg love them!!! The food was ok but the fries were DEFINITELY not the best like advertised nor was the portion and price! I ordered an original burger with regular fries and a drink which were the size of a kids meal! It’s pretty ridiculous that it costs $10! I’ve added a picture to give you a reference of the sorry portion that you will receive if you eat here.

Our food was amazing and the cheese sauce on the tots were totally awesome!!! I will visit again if ever in Sarasota. I got the key lime concrete mixer for desert and it tasted like real key lime pie broken up in the mixer.
