I really recommend the house salad! It is amazing – the dressing is made from scratch and is delicious! The cauliflower crust pizza is gluten free and so tasty! They have plain gluten free crust but the cauliflower is way better.
I came in with my spouse and our children expecting a normal family dinner. After we were seated, we sat there for 45 minutes without anyone even coming to our table at all. No server, no drinks, nothing. During that time I made eye contact with the person who appeared to be a manager multiple times, clearly trying to signal that our table had been completely overlooked and that we needed a server. Despite this, no one came over and no one acknowledged us.
To make matters worse, two groups that were seated after us had their orders taken, received their food, and finished eating before anyone even spoke to us.
After about 45 minutes, a waitress finally came to our table. This was the first time we had been acknowledged since being seated. I asked her if there had been some kind of issue with our table being missed. After that, we were still left waiting again.
Another 45 minutes passed before we asked to speak with a manager. At that point we had been sitting there for about an hour and a half.
A man eventually came out with our food. At first it seemed like he might have been the manager. I asked him why it had taken so long and why multiple other tables had been served long before us. I even asked him directly if there was some kind of race issue involved because the situation made no sense. He denied that and told us he would remove items from the bill because of the delay.
By that point the experience had already been ruined and we simply wanted to leave and pay for what little we had received.
When we went to the front to pay, a different man came out who clearly appeared to be the actual manager. He asked what he could do about the situation. We explained everything and told him we just wanted to pay and leave, assuming the adjustment that had already been promised would be honored. Instead, he said we would have to pay the full bill.
I told him that was not acceptable after everything that had happened and that I would only be paying for my spouse’s drink. He agreed and charged us for just that.
Then another man a shorter guy who appeared to possibly be the owner suddenly accused my spouse and me of cussing out the waiter, which is completely false. No one cursed. No one yelled. And we certainly would never behave like that in front of our children.
He insisted that we take the conversation outside, which we agreed to simply to avoid causing a scene in the restaurant.
Once outside, he put his hands on me while continuing to repeat the false accusation that we had cursed at staff. I immediately told him to take his hands off me. At that point all we wanted to do was leave peacefully and for them to stop falsely accusing us of something that never happened.
The entire situation was handled extremely poorly from start to finish. Being ignored for 45 minutes before even seeing a server, waiting a total of about an hour and a half, being told one thing about the bill and then something completely different, and then being falsely accused and physically touched when trying to leave is completely unacceptable.
The only positive thing I can say is that the food itself was decent, but the service and how the staff handled the situation ruined the entire experience.
We will absolutely not be returning.
–These are the employees who accused us of cursing, and the short guy who put his hands on me.
The location offers a lot of parking and would even allow enough room for an 18 wheeler tractor trailer combination.
As for food, I would recommend the Chicago Deep Dish pizza for starters.
The only caveat to this location is the lack of staff for the crowds. So unless you’re sitting at the bar, prepare for a wait for the entire process (from getting a table, to ordering your entree, to getting your food). The food is definitely worth the wait.
