My wings were really big and juicy. Gross. . The outside was really soft and fatty Well the skin anyway. I got Parmesan garlic and it didn’t taste like anything. It’s almost like I needed to add salt and pepper and another flavor. Couldn’t switch it out because there was no manager so out of 25 bucks.. should have definitely cooked it longer or something I don’t know. Not worth it on the wings. The lady that served me was really nice though that’s the only good thing. She just couldn’t help me with exchanging the order for something else.

Pizza was nothing to write home about. The cauliflower crust seemed identical to the regular pizza crust….which… for some people may not be an issue… but for me it makes me wonder if I paid an additional 5.99 something that was not actually cauliflower crust. I also had a glass of red wine. A wine I’ve had a lot of in the country it came from. And it never tasted (bad) like this. This red wine tasted like a medicine ball.
FYI, My pizza got taken away from me when I stepped away to use the restroom, without anyone asking me if I had been finished. There was a lot of pizza still left on the pizza tray too!!

Normally, I would not expect this quality of food at a restaurant inside an Embassy Suites by the airport. The pizza was really good. The dough was the star of the show. The sauce had a nice sweetness to it. I would prefer a little less cheese, though. The baked lemon basil wings were fantastic. You get 12 per order. The Grecian salad was also solid.

Not sure why this only has currently a 4.1….we we’re staying at Embassy for the weekend as our college daughter was playing at the dome plus went to the RV show. Juan was an AMAZING waiter! They were running a Valentine’s special app, salad, pizza and dessert for $55. We got the Caesar salad, stuffed mushrooms, tomatoe, mozzarella, basil pizza and some pear dessert. All were FANTASTIC!!!! The atmosphere We highly recommend this place!!

Customer service was terrible. The hostess said there were only two lunch servers and wait would be 20 minutes. Weird that a restaurant across the street from a major convention center isn’t staffed well. I had to ask the hostess to take my name for a wait list. She asked my phone number and said I get a text when the table was ready. 35 minutes later I asked about a table and she was unaware we were still waiting. Our waiter was inattentive but finally took our order. Food was slow to arrive. Are 900° ovens supposed to bake pizza quickly?

Listen, I came for wings and wish I had stayed for the pizza. As soon as I walked in that coal fire pizza smell hit me. Sadly, it was just me and I was in public transit.
For efficiency sake, I did the wings and they were also coal fire. I just wish they came with sauce or a dipping sauce.
But I will be back for that pizza!

I honestly don’t know how people could’ve given this place such low ratings? I’m not a pizza snob but I’ve eaten at many pizza places before and I would consider this place very good. The food was great! (don’t skip on the salads they are huge and give you generous portions of meat depending on which one you order). The servers were very friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back if I was staying in the same area!

SLYCE is expensive, but the quality of food is actually really good. If you don’t mind spending more money, I recommend this place over your typical convention food and/or food trucks.
I was here for a convention at the DES convention center and I had an appetite for pizza. This place looked pretty nice. It’s located inside of the Embassy hotel and the atmosphere is chill and relaxed.
I got the #1 pizza, which is just tomato sauce and mozzeralla cheese. Paying $18 for a 12″ pizza with no toppings is really expensive, but I’m at least happy that it tasted really good. They also do carryout which is nice if you want to eat elsewhere.

We’re staying at Embassy Suites again this year, and Slyce opened up in the lobby. The aroma coming from it was amazing, so we had to try it. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was delicious! And our server was amazing, as well. It was a great way to end our first night in Chicago.

Perfect restaurant to have in a hotel. Great food, quick service and large portions. As much as I wanted a pizza, it was lunch time so just had the salad – and it was great. Server was extremely friendly. Good place to stop by if staying at the Embassy or at a nearby hotel.
