We came here for after dinner drinks and to see live music. A woman we met at another restaurant in town told us this was the place to go for music.

The place was pretty full. We ended up getting seats at a high top table next to the bar closer to the band. The drinks were very good. We didn’t order any food.

The bartenders were friendly. Drink process were comparable most other cocktail bars.

The atmosphere was casual and social. The lights were pretty dim making it seem more cozy on a winter night.

The band was on the first floor in the front by the door. It would be hard to see them depending on where you sit but you can hear them for sure. It was loud but we could still talk. A few people were dancing in the small space in front of the stage. The band was good but I couldn’t get a good video.

We saw people going upstairs but we stayed downstairs. Not sure what’s up there now but from what I saw online it was a holiday themed bar so maybe they change the theme out or maybe it’s just a second bar area. You’ll have to go see for yourself.

We had a good time and would come here again.

We love stopping here after the Farmer’s Market for a treat. Sit outside with the pup and enjoy the good food and great drink options. The Buttercorn infused Tequila drink is lovely. And can’t go wrong with their salads, cornbread, and deviled eggs

Ok, and wow for happy hour… go! Fried pickles in cornmeal are UNREAL.

My fiancé and I were in town taking our engagement pictures and we decided to go into Slow Hand for a drink for a little break. We asked if we were able to go to the upstairs bar while it was closed to take some pictures and we were greeted w love, congratulations and a complimentary glass of Champagne. The pictures turned out perfect and we couldn’t be more appreciative of the kindness and at home feeling. Thank you for making our day so special and memorable!!

This is a great spot for some very well-made cocktails and tasty small plates. They have a good selection of mains as well for both brunch (at least on the weekends) and dinner, but the small plates are so good that one is better off getting 5 or 6 to share with a group. The deviled eggs, hot chicken and their version of sliders are all fantastic. The atmosphere is hip and dimly lit, fairly quiet so conversation is easy, and the booths are comfortable and spacious. The service is quick, helpful and attentive. I highly recommend a stop here.

We stumbled across this place on our way back from longwood gardens today. It’s super cute and the food was very good. Definitely recommend the corn ribs and the deviled eggs. Service was very quick.

This is probably my favorite bars for great drinks and a lovely atmosphere. If you’re looking for a nice vibey bar that doesn’t have the college town feel and has incredible mixed cocktails this is your spot. While I will still continue coming here, I will only be sitting at the bar as the service in the dining sections is often unreliable. The majority of my experiences have been great, however when I came here last week for happy hour i was extremely disappointed with the waitress and service (I think she was spread too thin or maybe she was new). We came for happy hour thinking we could at least have 2 rounds before it ended, but after a 45 min wait and watching the 4 top next to us get their drinks within 5 minutes of ordering, I was a bit upset. (Note: we’ve been here when it was slammed and haven’t experience poor service like this, this day was NOT slammed and they had multiple waitresses and bartenders working).

The food is always hit or miss as well, however I appreciate that they have a seasonal menu. Recommend the appetizers and dessert!

Overall, this bar has SO MUCH potential in being the best spot in WC but I think service needs to get tighter and the menu should stick to the basics without changing so frequently. We’ll still continue coming here forever probably, judging by the pics we’ve been here at least 100 times lol.

horrible experience. one thing after another. out of chicken, out of sauvignon blanc, food was served one hour after ordering because the waitress said it was “delivered to the wrong table and had to be remade” when she noticed it wasn’t delivered 45 minutes later. $9 up charge for 4 shrimp on a salad. food was below average, but we didn’t come for the food. the only reason we came for dinner was because the website said that if you were in the restaurant you wouldn’t have to wait in the line to get into the sleigh bar, you could just put your name in. we were told we would have to leave the restaurant and wait in the line. even though our food was an hour late. after some back and forth about conflicting information, the bouncer said he’d let us know when we could go upstairs. never happened. I will never come back here again.

This is an ideal choice if you like live music, southern food, country music, and hand=crafted cocktails. ( If you are very health-conscious, like places that are quiet then this is not the place to go though…)
We got the ham and cheese crudites, stuffed scottish salmon, fried chicken and mac and cheese “slice of cake” with bacon jam. We were going here and expected to “like” the food… but it was really outstanding… chicken nice and juicy with a perfectly crispy skin and came with pureed parsnips (never had that before… so much yumminess)…. the lentils and mushrooms under my salmon were of-so-delicious… I had an expertly crafted cocktail too – very pink and fruity – perfect girly drink. I loved how whimsical the mac and cheese slice was… never seen this before either. Service was great.

Went last week. Okay drinks, pretty expensive for what they are (~$15). What I really want to say here is that I watched one of the bartenders (short lady with dark hair and a bow) stop everything to yell at two college girls for not tipping her 20% around the holiday. Not sure if two students who just rolled in for some fun have the money to tip 20% on two or three $15 drinks, especially days before Christmas. She was tipped, too, just “not enough” in her eyes. She specifically told them that they needed to “tip her more next time”. I get needing the money this time of year, but who’s to say those kids weren’t in the same position? Very unprofessional and rude, I’m still thinking of it almost a week later. I left afterwards because I was really weirded out. Slow Hand, your prices are way too high for your employees to be treating your patrons, especially students, this way. Believe this happened the day before Christmas Eve.
