Absolutely a new Middlebury staple and a one of a kind experience in the area. They’ve just about got it all here. Being right next to the golf course, this place is also a great stop after playing a few rounds. My first experience here was great. The atmosphere is fantastic and the staff are knowledgeable.
Here are my favorite and a few noteworthy things:
1. Cigars. There’s an amazing assortment of cigars. You can purchase by the box or by the smoke.
2. Lockers to rent and store your smokes. Very convenient if you want to be a regular here. The lockers are inside of the humidor. You also get some bonuses for renting a locker.
3. Drink selection is phenomenal. There are so many thoughtfully chosen spirits to choose from. The pairing options between cigars and spirits are almost limitless. They also have a selection of crafted cocktails and virgin drinks to choose from if hard liquor isn’t your thing.
4. Private space. There’s space for renting out if you wish to have a private event.
5. Atmosphere. Lots of detail went into putting this place together and it shows.
6. Food – no food available here. However, you are welcome to bring your own which is great.
I will for sure be coming back here whenever I can.

Finally! A cigar lounge that’s only a 20 minute drive from me! I’ve quite literally been waiting for this moment for a long time. The closest other cigar lounges are a good 45 minutes away if not 50, so it’s not a simple trip to enjoy a cigar. Now I can just hop on my motorcycle and zip over. I’ve been there twice already since opening last weekend and it is truly great. The atmosphere is wonderful with tall ceilings, lots of natural lighting, comfy seats, and a big open feel. The cigar selection is a little limited since they just opened but what they currently have is top notch already – I would try the Cao 660 flat head if you’re into full body full strength cigars – trust me it’s GREAT (NOT for the faint of heart or new cigar enjoyers!). Their whiskey selection is extensive as well. I was very happy to see some nice Scotch whiskeys up there. Yesterday I brought in my laptop and was working there while enjoying a nice Ashton cigar and I was definitely in my element. Thank you slow burn for opening in this town and may you be blessed and open for many many years to come!

Great location with plenty of seating and an exceptionally clean atmosphere. The bourbon selection is one of the best in the area, with something for everyone to enjoy. There are also TVs if you want to catch the game while you relax. Prices are very reasonable, and overall the value is excellent. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Great Cigar and Whiskey Lounge. Great welcoming atmosphere with super friendly staff. Had an absolute stunning double sided bar with 3 layers of shelves of alchol. Humidor was stacked with a variety of great smokes with a tobacconist who knew his stuff. Owner was knowledgeable and friendly. Will be going back with friends for sure. Can’t wait for their events.

Great relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a cocktail or pour of bourbon with a luxury cigar. Although because of legalities they cannot serve food while allowing cigar smoking you can have food delivered in if you so choose. The bourbon and cigars selection are good and getting better each day

Slow Burn Cigar & Whiskey Lounge sets the standard for what a cigar lounge should be. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear this place is thoughtfully designed and exceptionally well run. We spent the evening enjoying cigars from their humidor along with draft beers and cocktails from the bar, and everything about the experience felt intentional and polished. The cigar selection is excellent, the whiskey lineup is strong with fair pricing, and the bar program complements the lounge perfectly.
The staff deserves special recognition. Every interaction was welcoming, knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely kind. They were helpful without hovering, clearly experienced, and kept the entire space clean and comfortable throughout the evening. That level of professionalism goes a long way in a setting like this.
The lounge environment itself is outstanding. Indoors feels upscale and refined, while the patio leans casual and incredibly inviting. Every outdoor seating area has its own gas fire pit, which adds warmth and atmosphere without feeling crowded. Ventilation is exceptional — the space was not at all smoky, even indoors — and the noise level was perfect for relaxed conversation with friends and loved ones. Comfortable seating is plentiful, and the entire space feels welcoming rather than exclusive.
Parking was easy, and it’s worth noting that the interior is far nicer than you might expect based on the exterior or surrounding buildings. Slow Burn is, without question, the best overall lounge I’ve been to. I will absolutely return and would recommend it to casual smokers, aficionados, whiskey lovers, groups, and travelers alike. This place gets it right.
