I am quite disappointed with the meal. It was the day after Halloween, and the food lacked freshness. While I understand that leftovers can be acceptable, I was not pleased with the high price tag for what was essentially a barbecue meal. The food was dry, and the homemade potato salad was not satisfactory. Service was the inly thing going for them that day.

We tried Sloppy Pig Shack and went with the small family pack — 1 pound of pulled pork with mac n’ cheese, baked beans, and waffle fries. Everything was absolutely delicious, but holy hell, the baked beans were AMAZING!!! Perfectly sweet, smoky, and savory and a great garden pepper flavor but not spicy— if you get anything here, you HAVE to get those baked beans. The pulled pork was tender and flavorful, the mac n’ cheese was creamy and cheesy, and the waffle fries were spot on. Will definitely be coming back again!
Only wish is that the pulled pork had more of a smoke flavor!

I’ve eaten here since the shack in Naples. Never had a bad experience, and with frychos on the menu I will always be back.
The pulled pork is by far my favorite, and don’t forgot to get the berry hot sauce!

My family and I ate here for lunch today and we were extremely disappointed. We bought a loaded baked potato, a 2 meat meal with pasta salad and potato salad, frychos, and Mac n cheese with brisket.
The meat didn’t have any flavor whatsoever. The Mac n cheese had the most unusual flavor and not in a good way, all 4 of us tried it and were put off by the plastic/artificial taste. We are bringing leftovers for the dog.
We like eating out a few times a month as a treat and we will never be back here.

We were in town after a long day of travel and visiting the local petroglyphs … we were so happy to have found this gem!! My husband smokes meat and makes bbq, and we can be very picky…,this place has it going on!! We got a 3 meat platter with brisket, pulled pork and ribs and shared it, perfectly cooked !! Ribs were just enough pull… coleslaw was crunchy and delicious. They even gave us an extra corn bread (no charge) because they knew we were sharing . Very friendly staff, excellent customer service!! Highly recommend !!

Quaint, inviting atmosphere. The service was outgoing and courteous. The food was tasty and a good value for the price. Sauces were delicious, especially the blackberry habanero.

Very good BBQ and very nice workers. I got the Brisket sandwich with home cut fries and both were really good! Before I ordered they offered me a sample of the brisket and were super nice checking in to see if I needed anything. Will definitely be coming back the next time I’m in Vernal

This is the typical small town older but clean location. It smells really good from outside. They have a decent menu with decent prices. The staff was friendly and provided fast service.
I ordered a loaded baked potato for $10.40. It was huge, smothered in cheese, pulled pork, sour cream, and sweet BBQ sauce. Very good. I managed to eat half, and took the rest to go for supper.

I really enjoyed the food, but the chef man makes the restaurant very uncomfortable by the way he speaks to the other employees. I’ve been in a few times and it’s clear the chef uses his size and age to bully the teenager workers. I’ve heard him on all occasions I’ve visited call other employees dumb, ask them if they have a brain and other insults that were completely unnecessary. The teenagers all were doing an amazing job and there wasn’t any need for the CONSTANT degrading comments.

Traditional and home-town BBQ restaurant. The meat was tender and juicy, the sauces were tasty and delicious, and the ambiance was enjoyable and comfortable. The server, who seemed to be the only little gal working there, was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. It was a great meal after a long day hiking in the surrounding area. The pig starring at you while you are doing your business in the bathroom was a little creepy, but not detracting from the experience.
