Just wow! We were looking for a new fun place to eat. Didn’t want to spend a lot but wanted to sit and relax!! Don’t let the name fool ya!!! Sloopy’s was perfect! We enjoyed our lunch out side. Jeff got to bring back from his childhood memories “In & Out animal fries” lmao ♀️ If you don’t know what they are ask for Max and he’ll hook you up!! Max was very knowledgeable of the menu items and was a sweet young man. Very funny and respectful! He even takes Jeff into ice cream after his lunch.. like that was really a hard sell though

Sloopy’s is amazing. When you walk in you immediately feel welcome. The manager is so kind that when we left my kids were talking about how nice “that guy” (Matt) was.
I had the Chicken Philly Cheesesteak and it was delicious. My kids loved their kids meals. And to top it off they have delicious ice cream options for dessert.

This was our first time at Sloopy’s Diner, but it won’t be our last. We thought the service was very friendly and accommodating. I felt like we got our food in a fashion and we thought it was great! Can’t wait to go back The lady who took our order was great and made us feel very welcome. It was clear while we there that they treat their customers like friends.

The restaurant has a great nostalgic feel reminiscent of an ice cream parlor and burger joint from the 1950’s. The food is always cooked to order and is one of the best burgers I’ve personally ever had. The portions are generous. The staff and owner are genuinely friendly and bend over backwards in the name of customer service. It’s a great dining experience and family friendly. 10/10. My family and I love this place!

We get take out quite often from this diner and have never been disappointed. The people that work there are a great group of people that make you feel like family. If you’re looking for a great place to try definitely give them a shot. Their hotdogs are the bomb, the pretzel bites are amazing and the Philly is delicious! Tell Matt we sent you!

Order at the counter experience. I ordered cheesesteaks which were very good for the price I got them at. Food didn’t take too long to arrive. Place was clean. Neat place to eat at. Wish they had booths but whatever. Will def eat here again and have already recommended it to others

This is a wonderful little diner. The food is great and the service is always warm and friendly. They make us feel like family. We live about 40 miles from Sloopy’s. We’re only in Kingsport about once every 4 to 6 weeks. But we always go to Sloopy’s for lunch.

I should break 4 MILLION with this review 🙂 ..This is a place where they know their costumers names. Nice little local spot diner style. Old building, decor etc.. Love the vibes and the enthusiasm for the costumers, real personal place. Spend a lot of energy providing good service but no extra time spent on the food. You get a prepared (Frozen) 8oz. Patty. Which is fine if you can figure out how to get that natural taste into one, or any taste for that matter. I got it plain lettuce tomato, etc which was all fresh,. I opted to pair it with a Huge drink and 5 onion rings that taste as if they not only had been frozen too Long but an after thought as well. For the $ I leave here feeling disappointed that I am disappointed. I strongly Dislike saying anything bad about local family spots trying to keep the doors open and provide. However if they don’t care any more about the product they are putting out then maybe it shouldn’t bother me for what I have to say. Have some pride Compete, go to a local competition, do something, raise the bar even if we have to pay $2 more. GO Sloopy & BTW this was my 3rd time here Guys over a 2 year period why they are just now getting a review , for all my locals didn’t bother with pics, everyone knows where it is.

Sloopy’s in Kingsport never disappoints! The food is always fresh and delicious — especially the burgers and fries. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel right at home. It’s the perfect spot for a laid-back meal with great hometown vibes. Highly recommend!
