Great dive bar with great service! Food is average and cheap! Oh yeah and a great price on beer! I’ve been going to The Sloop for years and years. One of my favorite spots in Ballard to grab a quick beer and eats. Dog friendly and they have a small area for outside seating when the sun is out. Darts and pool too!

What a great dive bar! They have two pool tables, some arcade games, the Mandalorian Pinball machine, good food and great prices! You have to go up to the bar to order food and drinks but they’ll bring the food to your table. Great place to unwind and let loose.

Excellent vibe. Pretty wide open, way bigger inside than it looks. Pool, arcade games, affordable bar food. Clean-ish. Pints or giant beers, good selection on tap and in bottles. Off the Ballard Ave drag so definitely more of a locals bar.

The Sloop lives up to its reputation as the quintessential Ballard neighborhood dive bar. It’s legendary because it’s been around for 70 years and caters to sailors and neighborhood sports aficionados who want to enjoy bar food, cold beer, and good company while they cheer for the hometown team. *If you’re not a Seahawk fan you’ll need a solid ego bc though you will be welcomed with Sloop hospitality, you will be out cheered 100 to 1. You have been warned.

Excellent spot with a long history. Come for the cheap drinks and stay for the okay food. The bartenders and staff are second to none and it’s an amazing stop when in the area for a cold drink.

Visiting from New York and staying at a place nearby Sloop Tavern. We stopped by multiple times to play pool and have some beers and had a blast. It’s a very spacious place and the pool is only 50¢ a game, coming from Brooklyn that’s insane as we pay minimum 2$ a game. The food is fantastic as well, I ordered one of the best burgers I’ve had in a very long time. When I come back up here next year I’ll be sure to frequent this location again

Disappointed especially with all the upcharges that were not mentioned. Food wasn’t bad but the prices for mediocre food is.

It’s a dive bar, except they care and the food is great and it doesn’t feel like a dive. No seriously, the owners take pride in their bar food service. Is it a bougie Eastside Michellen star wanna be? No, and we like it like that in Ballard.

You may be a sailor, you may not. Doesn’t matter… If you drink here long enough, you will be.
