Small town breakfast restaurant with signature cinnamon rolls and yummy homemade gravy for biscuits. Saw people come in just for the cinnamon rolls to go. Came here two days in a row-first day busiest time so we had to wait quite a long time for the food. Second day came earlier and both days were consistently delicious! Hash-browns cooked to perfection and so were the eggs. The bacon was smokey and thick-so good. They had flavored creamers and I think their sourdough toast was homemade-it was really good! The waitstaff wea wonderfully warm and helpful. Will definitely make this our breakfast place in the Keewenaw Peninsula!

Delicious food and great service. All of the wait staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast burrito was massive and probably the best Ive ever had. My wife had the cinnamon roll french toast oh boy so much flavor. We got a cinnamon roll to go threw it into the cooler ate it 12 hours later and still the BEST Ive ever had. Will definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

Wonderful place! On a snowmobile adventure we encountered some sled issues, we towed to slims, had some of the best breakfast, and waited for truck and trailer to arrive. Many workers conversated with me while I was there about our trip, our sled issues, they offered me a ride if I needed. They were so kind and helpful. The cinnamon French toast was the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this place. Glad we came across it, I will definitely be back!

Can’t say enough good about the service and food. Hash browns are made from freshly shredded potatoes- add a little onion and oh so yummy. Eggs are smooth and buttery. Cinnamon roll french toast is the best I’ve ever had. It has the perfect amount of sweetness and not overly sweet like most cinnamon rolls. We even bought cinnamon rolls to go. Service was fast and friendly. We will definitely stop here again.

I am not a pancake person, however we split a full order of corn beef hash made from scratch and a short stack of pancakes with strawberry/rhubarb compote. The hash was really good but the pancakes blew me away! I talked to a lady from Houghton that advised me Slim’s is the best breakfast place in the Keweenaw and I have to agree! She claimed the breakfast skillets were awesome and maybe next time we will try those! Definitely my go to breakfast place in a world that knows less about making things fresh and from scratch anymore! A++ and kudo’s to Slim’s. Came back downstate with baked goods from Slim’s, the oatmeal raisin cookies are done if the best I have ever had in my life! Buttery and great taste! Wishing now that I would have brought more back south!

This is a really great place every time we go! They even have sour dough toast and gluten free options!! The gluten free pancakes are top notch! You have to ask about the gluten free cinnamon rolls I think they are only available on Friday from 1-2pm. And yes all of the other food is great, I love the breakfast sandwich made with a homemade biscuit/bacon/cheddar, but there are other ways to have it made.
