We decided to try this new spot in town — Slim Chickens in Kyle, Texas — and let me just say, it absolutely hit the spot. The moment we walked in, the place smelled like fresh, hot chicken straight out of the fryer.
Our food came out piping hot. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside — exactly how we like it.
Hubby ordered 4 golden chicken tenders with a side of fries, and they were seasoned just right. I went for 6 spicy chicken wings with a side of fried okra, and the heat from the wings paired perfectly with the crunchy, flavorful okra.
Every bite was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. If you’re craving good, honest comfort food, I highly recommend this place. Slim Chickens definitely earned a spot on our “we’re coming back” list. ✨ ☺️

Saw they just opened up had to try it out got the Buffalo Mac bowl the chicken and the banana pudding man that was so tasty definitely going to come here often they have Wraps, tender baskets and much more you also get a small Mason jar with your banana pudding with thier logo they also have a drive thru if ur

Update 2nd visit: it seems consistency is an issue the first visit i had was great the 2nd visit not so much. Which im glad that was not my first impression 2nd order was thier chicken club sandwhich the order taker did have some troubles understanding me at the drive thru and so did I, the volume was turned so low for some reason sounded like they were whispering mightve had thier mic up or something it happens ordered the banana pudding again bc it was awesome but the banana pudding was forgotten with the order and they gave me thier other sandwhich instead of the club one with bacon the chicken patty was way smaller than the bun it was pretty comical the lettuce leaf for reference is the bun vs the patty perhaps an off day but the fries were cool to the touch you can definitely tell they were out for a bit. I do not recommend the fries they have other sides that sound good maybe they’ll let you switch the fries out for something else hopefully.. service was nice besides the forgotten items and mixed food

I originally gave this place a 5-star review when they first opened because everything was great. But after my experience last night, I’m changing my review from 5 stars to 1. I would NOT recommend this location anymore.
They claim to be open until 11 PM, yet when we arrived around 10, the doors were already locked. We had to use the drive-thru, and not only did they forget the ketchup, but they also left out the ranch dressing that I PAID for. Yes, PAID for. When I tried to get the dressing, they told me to go back through the drive-thru.I stayed there knocking until finally and showing my receipt until someone came and opened it to see what I wanted. That was very unprofessional of them to leave me there knocking and not coming to see what I needed. After waiting and finally getting someone to open the door, they acted like they didn’t even want to give me what I had already paid for.
The food quality just made the whole experience worse. The buffalo chicken meal was watered down and had almost zero flavor. I ended up having to use Chick-fil-A buffalo sauce, as seen in the picture, just to make it taste like something. The fries were cold, stale, and honestly tasted old. And the okra? I paid $6 for a tiny amount that barely covered the bottom of the box. It was ridiculous. Waste of money!!!!! Check the photos I posted-everything. I’m mentioning nothing but facts here and is backed up by photos.

I’m not too sure about this place. I’ve eaten here twice-to go and eat in. Both times I got wings, once with fries and once with mushrooms. The fries-no thanks. The mushrooms were pretty good. I didn’t like their wings but can’t put my finger on why. Next time, I’ll try something different. One more shot before I’ll mark it off my list.

Pulled up to the drive-thru ask do they have plain breaded chicken wings they said yes. Get home and it’s not breaded it’s just chicken wings that they just dropped in some fryer oil and then handed you some sauce. No effort whatsoever. Definitely will not be back for this nonsense

Five stars for the ultimate comfort food experience! We tried a bit of everything and were absolutely blown away. The chicken tenders were perfectly crispy and juicy, and the side of hot wings (which had a great kick!) added the perfect variety to the meal. The fries and Texas toast were excellent sides, too.
A major highlight is their sauce bar—they have a fantastic variety of sauces, not just the signature Slim Sauce, which allows you to customize every bite. Oh, and you absolutely must try the fried pickles; they are perfectly battered and a delicious crunchy side. Generous portions, fresh food, and great flavor combinations. Highly, highly recommend! let me talk about the customer service!!! It was Top notch!!!! Will definitely be back and will be telling everyone to visit SLIM CHICKEN IN KYLE TX!

I was excited to visit this place as it opened up right near my job and I have been tired of the other fast food place around.
I appreciate the larger parking lot and the screen ordering was pretty self explanatory.
The pricing is a bit high but it is cheaper than Canes.
I ordered a Slim Meal 5 with fries, a large drink, extra sauce, and a milkshake for a total of $20. I got my meal about 3-5 minutes after order and it came out quickly but VERY HOT it burnt my mouth.
The chicken was fresh, hot, and the meat was juicy and tender but I do wish it was a bit more crispier on the outside. The fries seemed a bit overcooked or kept under a lamp for too long.
The biggest thing that bothered me was the customer service:
– I love getting greeted when coming in but 2 girls up front screamed “welcome in” and immediately started laughing and cackling with each other like it was a game. The other front person seemed annoyed and quietly greeted me and asked if I needed assistance with the screens.
– While sitting at a booth inside solo I noticed all of the tables with groups getting checked on but no one came to check in on my meal.
– Throughout my meal the workers were cleaning and spraying to clean the surrounding tables, which is great, however the spray got onto my table and even my arm. I just hoped it didn’t touch my food.
– Lastly, again while cleaning, a worker was sweeping in between tables and came to sweep under my table and swept right over my feet! I looked up and he said nothing, didn’t apologize, and kept sweeping away. I appreciate the cleaning procedures and efforts however I was made to feel a bit invisible and uncomfortable after that.
As a GM myself I know good reviews are important at opening time but I hope this feedback can be helpful and useful to grow a great team.
I will be return but using the drive through only.
