Once again Google’s 2 year freeze on edits is up, so I can once again review Slim Chickens.
The Hillbilly and Mrs. HB had to travel to St. Louis. And, one of the best parts of the trip was getting dinner at Slim’s.
The prices are very reasonable, the staff has always been very kind and courteous, and the food is great!
Springfield needs a Slim Chickens… just sayin’.

Amazing service. The gentleman taking my order was very kind and recommended the Korean bbq sauce since this was my first visit and his favorite. Didn’t disappoint at all! The food was fantastic. Hot, fresh chicken that paired so well with the sauce and Texas toast. I would highly recommended and will definitely be coming back

The number placard was gross & sticky. Washed my hands after touching it. All the tables were dirty, toast was cold. When I asked for warm toast the dude looked at me like I was an alien. Only thing good was tenders. Btw, first time at SC.

Very good chicken sandwich. There are several choices of side sauces, and the Buffalo sauce is good. Others have mentioned that the honey mustard sauce was about the best they’ve had in a restaurant. Comparing the chicken sandwich to the chicken tenders, the chicken in the sandwich was better based on the juicy-ness. The chicken sandwich bun is a nice complement to the sandwich. The hot sauce is a bit on the sweet side. The Buffalo sauce is as expected… good.

I was on a road trip with my mother and we visited Slim Chickens on 4-2-23 at 10:33 am in Lebanon MO, store 1001. Who was happy that Trenton (who was our cashier and server) didn’t greet us both as (guys)! He was very attentive, he smiled and was pleasant. He even brought out our food when it was done. And then checked on us during our meal . We both enjoyed the chicken and waffles. And the strawberry shakes were handmade and they had a nice large diameter straws! The store was clean as were the bathrooms . Pics included of the inside of the store and of our food .

As a truck driver I always try to eat at places I’ve never heard of or been before. I stopped in a “slim chickens” and ordered the chicken sandwich. So far this is the best chicken sandwich I have ate and the fried pickles added to the goodness of this meal. Definitely coming back if I stop here again. The girl at the register was amazing.

Excellent service, super friendly waitress who went above and beyond…the one with the blue hair!! They made me a beautiful salad! The place is clean and fresh, just a really nice atmosphere. I see why everyone loves it. 10 out of 5, will be going back.

First time eating at this place. I asked the cashier what he recommended and said any of the chicken sandwiches. I had the Cajun sandwich meal with fried pickles as my side with a large drink.
The sandwich was made fresh and I was advised as to it being very hot. The fried pickles were also just as fresh. The ranch dipping sauce seems to be made with real ingredients. All the food was seasoned well and I enjoyed it.
The beverage selections were standard from a fountain machine. What I liked was the freshly made iced tea pitchers. Four to be exact. Plus what appeared to be fresh lemonade. It was a quarter till 3 PM and the place was empty except for a job interview going on. I ate my meal for dine in and was asked if there was anything more that I needed while seated.
The restrooms were clean except the trash bin was overflowing with paper towels. While I was writing this review the bin was emptied out.

Their food is by far the best and only chicken in the area. Their prices are a little high but the food is worth it. The customer service is friendly and go above and beyond to fix mistakes. Service is a little slow, and be prepared to wait if you go during lunch. I have tried most things on the menu. Decent.
