Let’s be honest, there are no shortage of chicken restaurants in Jacksonville. There are a literal smorgasbord of choices, but Slim Chickens has managed to stand out and my family and I eat there a couple times a month. Tonight I ordered eight wings and they were unfortunately raw in the middle. Upon calling the restaurant I expected to encounter the attitude that’s seemingly served as a side in today’s food service industry. But I was pleasantly surprised by the manager, Herschel. He went out of his way to not only express his disappointment but his regret. He refunded my ticket, no questions asked. This is probably the reason Slim Chickens has managed to stand out in a literal chicken coop of restaurants. Thank you again, Herschel. We will continue to be patrons of your establishment.

I really did like this place, cool atmosphere, good service, good food. I didn’t know we had one moncks corner,SC which is still a 45 min ride from me. But maybe I’ll visit there one here and see how it compares. But definitely a place to stop by and check out. Also those are real Mason jars with the dessert in them. That’s pimp.

Me and my son went on Monday and got lunch. I got the 3 tenders meal and he got the sandwich meal. OMG….yall…..the cayenne ranch is ❤️ ! 10 out of 10! So good. Food was made fresh, hot and delicious! Sweet tea was great! Definitely going back…that cayenne ranch has me HOOKED!

Super Bowl Sunday another fried chicken place was gonna be two hours out. It’s 6pm. We Pull up order 30 wings two large fries and within 10 minutes. We’re home by 6:29 enjoying some of the best wings I’ve ever had in my life. Their garlic Parmesan wings might be the best wings I’ve had in my life. 10/10 food. 10/10 service. Their ranch was incredible! Fries were great!

Food is always cooked fresh when I come in the afternoon. I take advantage of the order ahead and get 20% off deal when it pops up in the app. Totally worth it and the back of the house staff is great! Angela is the bees knees as well she always has the best attitude.

We got our food very quickly. There’s a lot of seating (in my opinion). You could move tables together if you’ve got a big group of people.
I got the cayenne ranch chicken sandwich and my husband got the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese.
The food was great! The only disappointment was that the spicy bbq sauce was not spicy.
We will definitely be back though.

Don’t know who the white girl with bright blonde hair is, but she’s got an attitude problem. Luckily, I’m worn out from working all day so I just ignored her, but she needs to chill. The food is great, but 2 workers tonight had an attitude. Maybe it was the same girl… The one on the speaker had an attitude and tone with everything she said. If you don’t like your job, and you’re going to take it out on customers… don’t work there. Really bad for the service of the restaurant. Great food, but having employees that laugh at you and stare at you through the window immediately ruins it.

Brand new chicken place to Jacksonville. Although we have a lot of other chicken places this one the service is good. The teenagers were friendly and courteous. Looking around place is clean and tidy. They clear the tables for you. Drink station. Let me tell you about their made in house drinks. Sweet tea, in my opinion, needs more sweet. The lemonade wasn’t terrible. The staff also brings your food to the table which I like. The in-house made sauces are dipp-o-lishious. I’m a big dipper person so I like options. Prices are pretty reasonable. And they have a rewards program to earn free food.

Do yourself a favor and get the cayenne ranch dry rub tenders. Get some dipping sauce, Mac and cheese and finish it off with a mason jar cheese cake dessert.
The girls working the front end were polite and had a bubbly attitude.
