Update (7/8/23): Unfortunately, I have to lower my rating of Slice. It seems that they were bought out and have entirely new management who have completely changed their pizza recipe. The new pizza is frankly just not good. It’s too thin despite not being a thin crust, with minimal sauce & toppings. I’ve had worse, but honestly would prefer chain pizza instead.

Got two Calzones, one meatball and the other was pepperoni and ham. The calzone looked phenomenal until I opened it up and saw the pathetic amount of meat inside. I’m not lying when I say the massive meatball Calzones had 5 dinky meatballs in it. It was sad and I regret spending almost $30. Will not be back.

My husband and I go to lunch here quite often, usually once, sometimes twice a week. We would get outstanding service from Tony and Talia, and they were really great and comfortable to talk to. Today we went and it was quite a different experience. We ordered a 14″ pizza and got a 12″. Initially, they had no ice, but did end up filling the machine after about 15 minutes. Three of the fountain sodas were out of order. The covers for the drinks did not fit the cups, (they ended up giving us different cups and covers after requesting them.) The pizza was not the same quality as it was when Tony or Talia would make the pizza. The ingredients were not fresh and lacked flavor and the crust was different and cooked a bit too long. We will not be returning there, which is really disappointing.

Flavorful, homemade quality food made by kind-hearted, hospitable attentive folks. I left there feeling like I’d made new friends.

This place was a hidden gem of Tampa. The best pizza right across the street! I was thrilled! From the sauce to the dough everything slapped! But the last couple of pizzas I got didn’t hit. I used a coupon that I received in the mail. They asked me to bring it in. When I did the woman on the register told me it was a typo that one of the owners made and they couldn’t honor my coupon. Then I asked when it change ownership. She said “We bought it a couple weeks ago”… I then asked if she was one of the owners then that she’s talking about with the typo? Yes. She tried to go one and explain how it was difficult to correct that error. As a person with experience in the industry and customer service , I found this to be displeasing. I was charged $6 more without that coupon for a cheese pizza. I still have the coupon that has no expiration date. Very unprofessional. Why not honor the coupon when you make a mistake because it’s not the customer’s fault. I ended up having to pay essentially for their typo. Bad business management. Then before I wrote in tip she asked to give my son a soda which I agreed and gave the price of drink as tip. If you want money that badly. Give the discount as I tip the difference too. I would have tipped $5 if I was charged correctly. Just saying. I’m going to make the drive to Westshore from now on. I’m not paying full price for a pizza that doesn’t slap!

I went here because it is close to my house. I found the food to be okay but not worth the price (they also ask for at least a 15% tip on to-go orders on credit card purchases!). Also, the service was subpar. The employees spend lots of time chatting and my food took a longer than usual time to get done. Atmosphere is pretty much strip mall basic. Better off ordering delivery from Westshore Pizza or Dominos.

This place have some of the best chicken wings, and to make it even better, they are only $0.60 each on Mondays. They have side salads that are delicious and for under $2, you cannot beat it. Great customer service, as always. I order from here at least 4 times a month, and have had nothing less than a great experience. I would definitely recommend this place!

Love Slice! Been coming here for years and it’s always top quality. Definitely the best pizza in south Tampa. The workers are also super friendly. Support this local gem instead of places like dominos!

Stopped here as a last minute decision cause I got that craving for wings and pizza. I got there 40 minutes before close and was afraid they wouldn’t have time but they were very friendly and told me to order whatever I wanted and they had the time. Guy who took my order made a great recommendation for the Meathead and it was amazing. I also got a dozen Thai Chili wings which were spectacular. I ate like a fat kid and still had plenty left over. A dozen wings and large pizza came to $30.

It’s ok pizza at best. It’s lacking the flavor to put it over into the category of good and/or great pizza. Service is sub par and the employees seem more interested in chatting with each other or being on the phone then paying attention to a customer. Not worth the money to eat here.
